up until this version I would say that you are right but now it just shows the game thats ACTUALLY IN THE DISC DRIVE

remove the lv2 patch, just run mman 1.14.1

nope that wasn't it at all... it was a very interesting problem actually. So apparently with this new version you can't use the playstation move demo disc as the disc inserted whereas it worked on every other multiman version up until now. Any other disc I throw in there it works as its supposed to, very odd, though the demo disc structure must be a little different than all of the other ps3 discs. Easy fix but I wanted to keep a crap disc in the drive just in case of scratching issues. If dean could easily fix that it would be awesome, if not, ehh well

Just a quick FYI to folks...... (I'm sure what I experienced will be countered by somebody who didn't have the problem but just wanted to say something).... due to some screwing around, I corrupted my hard drive and needed to copy all my games back again.

I went the whole 9 yards so to speak. I reinstalled Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW, formatted my drive and started clean.

Installed BlackB0x and Multiman 1.14.01 then used BB to FTP my games over. Several hours later they were done so I loaded MM and hit the key for 'patch' and had it adjust permissions for all my games. I then tried to play a few and got lock up after lock up. I installed the old "Fix Permissions 3.55 PKG" and now everything is working perfectly!

So if anyone is letting MM fix permissions for games on your drive and you still have problems, don't forget the old Fix Permissions pkg file. I had to look an extra 5 seconds for it since the douche bags at Shitty sent out tons of dmca notices.

I got to stop for a second and laugh about this............ you **** sucking politician buying corporate pukes ...... do you have ANY idea how absolutely huge the internet is? Do you realize you made me spend an extra 5 seconds looking for that Fix Permission pkg file???? Muahahahahahah

Hello everybody!

I'd like to thank everybody on these boards for their time in helping people out. I've been following the ps3 jailbreak for a few weeks now and believe that I am ready to get multiman up and running. I have a few questions...

...that I will preface by saying that I acknowledge I am new to this and I do thank you guys for your time in helping me out. I will return the favor by helping out other noob's who post here once I figure things out.

So, I was able to find this helpful tutorial for getting multiman installed:

Backup Manager [Multiman] | PS3

My questions are:

I have a Mac. Is it possible to get multiman running and backup and play my ps3 games without a PC? It seems that if everything goes on the USB stick, then it wouldn't matter what my OS is.

Is this the most current version of the kmeaw cfw? Is there only one version of this cfw?

I'd obviously like to run the most current version of multiman (01.14.01), but the download link at the top of this thread specifies that it is a 'Base' package, as opposed to the 'full' package download of 01.14.00. Can I just download and put the 'base' 01.14.01 package on my usb stick and install as directed in the tutorial I linked to above, or should I install the 'full' 01.14.00 package and update to 01.14.01 from within multiman? (and again, is this doable on a mac)?

Lastly, I am wondering if there have been any reports of bricking on a 120gb slim, purchased when the slim's first came out. I've looked around and haven't seen any reports, but wanted to double check.

First I wanna say "Thanks" to dean for provide us this excellent work called "multiMAN".

Now I'll ask for some help to solve the first bug I had while using mM. Before update my mM to lastest version, it was 1.40.00 and all was ok. After update it to the lastest version 1.40.01 I get too many freezes when backup/copy a game from my external to internal HDD, The copy ALWAYS stop at 99% and the console freezes.

Someone has some idea about this weird problem?

I have a question about split files.

I split one file that was in Red Dead Redemption and now have 2 files. How do I combine them back in multiMan?

First matt, its wise to read a couple post/pages backwards if you are new and just jumped in m8te.

Or just use Search on "POST" woud help you quick ... trust me.

Anyway, i have found the following sollution for you a coupple pages back.

Follow ansmart & bigjohnygone their sollution and you will b fine..

Rest asure 100% works , i have done it like that ever since.

i am running 1.12.05 can i install newest multiman via usb over old install or do i have to uninstall old version 1st thanks
