Does anybody here runs metal gear solid 4? I have a controller issue problem when starting the game (cant press anything), but for now no back up manager has a patch mode available.

Ok. off topic. But I need help. Formatted an external 2tb drive to fat32 and ps3 doesn't see it when I plug it in. Ideas from people who use large externals?
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end

What formatter did you use, sometimes using different formatter will give you different result

You name it I've done it.

The only thing I have no tried is the fix permissions .pkg. Well I tried it but I can't launch the bloody thing.

I believe it's time for me to go back to 3.41. This is ridiculous. I know it's not dean's fault, and I'm not blaming him. I know it has something to do with the lv2, or the CFW period. Whatever it is, it will not work now on my PS3.
Mine was also in a death spiral yesterday. The solution I found was to return to OFW 3.55, format the HDD, then reinstall kmeaw and multiman. Ever since I have had no issues, be it patching, loading, running games, etc. Beforehand I couldn't use the new multiman or new lv2 pkg, they kept forcing a hard reset. Now everything seems pretty alright. I know it's an enormous pain in the ass to back up saves and whatnot, but as I said, it worked for me. And as an addition, I did not have to re-rip the games I already had on my external, just had to reapply the permissions in multiman (pressing R1), and all was good.

wonder why they went with 3.41 and not 3.55, whatever.

All I had to do to fix it was grab the right fixpermissions.pkg. For CFW 3.55 the one on the front page does not work. The correct one is labeled FIX_PERMISSIONS_Waninkoko_Kmeaw_CFW_3.55.pkg I got that one from ps3-hacks IIRC.

There are 2 mega 3.55 versions, whats the difference between the 2? If one is signed using GH tools and requires GH PUP, whats the 2nd one?!

Whenever I run the EBOOT Fix included in the package it finishes and says a specified file can't be found. This prevents it from building the .pkg file and deletes everything in the npdrm folder.
