Hey all dont know if this helps any one but here it goes....

CECHC playstation 60gb running on 3.55 ofw

did the update to wutangs 3.55 cfw using the ps recovery menu

then updated to geohots 3.55 cfw from the xmb

    everythink went well. >_<

then installed multiman 3.55 witht he shadow eboot. (work's like a dream thanks dean)

then i shut down the console.

rebooted it back up and then installed the lv2 patcher which can be found on *************.com i think its on the first page. after the installation i then clicked the lv2 patcher and you get a white screen. with press x to exit. pressed x.

    then i loaded up multiman.

i then copyed a game from ex hdd to inter hdd. (game was naughty bear).

after the copy was complete i then unpluged the ex hdd.

clicked x to load the game.

i then clicked yes to load with out going to the xmb.

    and......

every think works like a dream. been playing it now for the past 3 hours (yes i know its sad to play that game but its for testing right >_< lol ).

big thanks to everyone who as been writing help on this forum. helped me alot. and a very big thanks to dean. maybe try and but the lv2 patcher in side one of you multimans and give it a try to see if it works. any help wanted just say and i will try and reply asap >_<

ive tried like 10 other games and they work fine, btw.
if your GT5 was using the modified eboot then delete the eboot and replace it with the original eboot, i assume you ripped your own disc so it wont be a problem for you getting the original eboot.

I'm going to try that permission fix later when I get home, but needed an opinion. I was on 3.41 JB with Openmanager 1.17.1. I'm now on 3.55 CFW - Kmeaw. I left openmanager as is and installed Multiman 1.12.05 for 3.55. I loaded up GT5 and it asked to update to 1.05. I figured I might as well update games now while I have access to PSN so I accepted. After it updated I just get a black screen. I'm using lvl2 patcher first, then Multiman, and booting from xmb with a disc in.

Multiman finds all of my backups just fine (both internal and external drives). Since I was on openmager my internal games are still at /dev_hdd0/game/OMAN46756/GAMEZ and I'm wondering if that is the issue. I thought about deleting that directory along with all of the game data and then copying them back to /dev_hdd0/GAMES. Since that will take some time I thought I should ask what others thought first.

Also, it was getting late so I didn't have a chance to try the other games on my internal drive. Regardless, I'm not sure if there would still be an issue if I updated them later.

    Any advice is appreciated.

This is what i did to get GT5 working.( this is for GT5 EUR (BCES00569) EBOOT.BIN )

1.Tried original EBOOT.bin , black screen right after sony license text
    2.Replaced EBOOT.BIN and PARAM.SFO with http://www.filenest.com/games/100-wo...no-license-bug
3.Game started , game crapped out when trying to start a race.
4.Downloaded and installed 1.05 patch ( not connected to net so used this pkg patch PS3-Hacks.com / gt5 1.05 patch )
    5.Happy days

Okay, got a short question here:
Which version is recommended for kmeaw CFW?
    For FWs 03.40 - 03.42 or for FW 03.55?
