I ripped it to internal, MM suggested that I convert to AVCH for compability reasons, and that it would be playable under video tab in XMB, but the only thing under my video tab in XMB is "AVCH", and its file size is 0. I tried looking for it in showtime, and it doesnt show up there either. In MM video tab, it shows the file, but cannot play it from there (trying to play from MM it loads up XMB just like I was playing a PS3 backup, but then after that theres no BD to play) I have tried this by not converting to AVCH as awell as converting, and keeping a BD disc in drive as well as discless.

What do I need to do?
I messed around with 02.07.01 last night and ripped a DVD-ROM (Van Helsing) and a PS2 disc (Castlevania: LoI) and they ripped fine but when I tried to playback the DVD in Showtime the video was all messed up and would not play (and of course the PS2 disc would not show up in multiMAN). Man, how cool it would be to be able to play the PS2 game in Sony XMB (on my FAT PS3). I don't think he has implemented playback of DVD and BluRay rips yet... Anyway when trying to switch the appearances using L1 and R2 still does not work, it's like it's locked on the XMB mode. I can switch it under system prefs but I still can not change it using the L1 and R2

    another idea for mm:
a scrollbar for the file manager to see if you are on the top or the bottom (or something like that) of a folder

I was messing around with the new MM and I ripped two of my "REAL" PS2 games (Castlevania: LoI and COD) into .ISO format and they showed up in MM but the folder that I ripped the other day did not show up after the new MM update, so it looks like he has switched to straight .ISO for DVD, BD, PSX, PS2, PSP etc... but they will not play back yet of course (I can't wait though, how sweet it will be to have all my PS2 games right there in MM (in ISO) to play (I'm on a FAT PS3), last night I was hitting the X button trying to force them to load, though I knew they would not... Hehehe. I also ripped one of my movies (The Ninth Gate (DVD)) to an .ISO but when I went to play it back in "Showtime" it just gave me a bunch of errors and it would not play back a folder I have of a DVD either, How do we play back a ripped DVD? Is it possible yet? BTW, I still can not switch appearances using L1 and R1, can anyone else?

Yea, I wish the File Manager had a few more features, my main problem is that I can not read the type. It's almost impossible. I am on a 4:3 Standard Def TV (Sony Trinitron Picture Tube, it has a FLAT screen, very nice TV) I have it hooked up through Component, R, W, R, Y, B, G. The games look GREAT but all the Text is super hard to read (esp in GOD 3). Hey Dean, can you make it so I can change the "Fonts" in the "File Manager" or make them a bigger size? Anyone know of a good font I could use (For Themes) that is more readable on a Standard def TV?

Go to multiMAN's XMMB, press R3 (or change Settings -> Font Preference) to switch to the font that look better in your TV, then select File Manager (or SELECT+START).

I don't think that will change the font in the File manager. I will try tonight though... I think R3 now brings up a log...
