Can some one please anser these 2 questions

    1. Is there away of hex editing or changing some code in the ps3 to change where package are placed in the list. Right now first come the lower down the list. Right now I do the Album trick to put them in abc order. But I hope there is another way.

    2. Is there a file manager for the ps3 that well allow me to remove the root folders from the hdd0/ location. I know that for most people this should not be something that they should try. But I would like to add stuff to the root to test out some games with problems loading othere ways. And would like to remove any problems without formating my hd. Thanks for any help.

You can delete stuff from root folder of /dev_hdd0 with multiMAN. If you don't see the "Delete" option in the command menu (when you press [O]), try to rename the folder.

However, you cannot delete/rename/remove /dev_hdd0/ "game", "vsh", "home", "mms", "vm", "etc" and "drm" folders. I specifically disabled dangerous operations for these folders.

This may have been discussed already but, does the music need to be on the PS3 hdd to play in multiman or can it be streamed from a PC?

Both. Actually you have 3 options. Straight through XMMB, USB, and Showtime(media server.)

If streaming from PC, you will need to launch showtime. Showtime will detect any media servers you have running on your PC.

For instance, I have ps3 media server running on my PC. I just boot Showtime from MM or through XMB and my media server appears after a few minutes.

I don't think Dean has implemented a media server detection straight through Multiman as of yet, so the only way I know of, is Showtime(to stream media straight from pc).

    Regards,

    Neiljames.

Need help with MM I have it at 02.01.00 and I always install any new update and fixes dean puts out but when i go into debug mode (L2+R2 while booting) and check for update it says there is a new update and that New Version found 02.01.00 and my current version is 02.01.DD so i go ahead and download the new version then go to install it and it goes threw then the whole license thing then when i go and check for updates again in debug mode it says the same exact thing like as if it never installed the update cause it says my current version is still the 02.01.DD version so i dont know if im not getting any actual newer updates and/or fixes.

Yo, I don't know if anybody noticed already, but something is screwed with auto cover download within multiman. I just installed two new games, 1. Transformers Dark Of The Moon ( BLES01169 ) and Williams Pinball Classics ( BLES01051 ) , my multiman is set to autodownload covers, but download was wrong. Instead of those two game covers it downloaded the wrong covers, BLES00695 ( Tornado Outbreak Cover ) for Transformers, and BLES00480 ( Wheelman Cover ) for Williams Pinball Classics. Is anybody facing the same problems or is it just me?

Maybe covers named wrong on multiman cover server?
