Very nice indeed! It would be really nice to have such a display mode.
I took the big step to add multilingual support to multiMAN. Since I'm a huge fan of SMS player for the PS2 and Eugene's work, I adopted the language format and parts of the PS2 code used by him. Special thanks to Ronald (dlanor) for pointing me to the SMS source page back in November, 2010.
* An option in SETTINGS column will allow you to switch interface language (provided someone translates it)
* Language files will reside under USRDIR/langs folder, named as LANG_**.TXT, where ** is the language ID (LANG_DE.TXT LANG_RU.TXT LANG_FR.TXT ... etc)
* Language files are in plain text format, UTF-8 encoded
I'm currently creating the base LANG_XX.TXT with all english texts/labels, which should be used by translators as a starting point. Two files added in googleproject (language.h/.cpp):
I plan on opening a new thread dedicated only to localization of multiMAN. If anyone is willing to help translating multiMAN in his native language - you're welcome.
# Parts of code and idea for localization by:
# (c) 2006 Eugene Plotnikov <e-plotnikov[at]********.com>
# SMS Media Player for PS2 / PS2DEV Open Source Project
The only requirement is a fluent English and also that you'll continue to update your translation files with new versions.
Currently the support in multiMAN goes as:
If you don't see your language and you intend to do a translation let me know.
If you like multiMAN or multiAVCHD, support the development with a small donation. Click here.
Laugh and the world will laugh with you.
Cry and you will be alone.
Great news i would gladly help translating to portuguese but since i don't have internet at home i can't be updating every release, i hope someone steps forward to this project for my native language.
i remenber i once requested it to you on irc deank i'm glad to see this coming a reality
Good work man, i have your code translated for my native language (Spanish), if you wish i can help you in this task

No. Not unless there is some major breakthrough first, in how homebrews may circumvent Sony's GameOS restrictions.

In case you wonder, the built-in BD player you can start from XMB does NOT suffer this GameOS restriction, obviously.
But we have no way of replacing that player with a ripper...
