This occurred back with one of the minor updates of 2.00.02 (I think) but another update fixed it and I thought no more of it. The problem re-surfaced somewhere after 2.00.03 and went away again after another update. Sorry I can't offer any more help, but the more info Dean has the easier it should be to pin-point the source.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I have over 300 pictures in the PHOTO column and all is okay. Tested on my other PS3 - same. Going back through multiMAN versions causes removal of the cached columns (XMBS.00#). Usually performing "Refresh" causes reloading of all content for photo/music/video columns and caching it to a XMBS file.

    XMBS.003 - Photo
    XMBS.004 - Music
    XMBS.005 - Video
    XMBS.008 - Retro

dean, little tiny bug I have noticed..

My one external shows it has 300gb more space even when it completely full, it could just be the way I formatted it, I'll redo it and inform you if it changes anything..

EDIT: Another HDD which is exactly the same reports the correct size, gonna format and copy everything over, gonna take forever..

Hi , i've got a 932GB internal hdd but 103GB is missing, the ps3 caches 11% of your hdd space, so is /dev_hdd1 where the other 11% of my drive is, if not is there any way i can make most of it usable again, cheers

The missing space is due to the ps3 system files etc, not dev_hdd1 at all..
So no, it's not possible to get that space back..

ok thanks, bit of a shame to lose so much space, it was ok to use 11% when it was the 60GB original hdd

I don't actually have the issue anymore, but if I see it again I will try to document it a little better. I only went backwards and then forwards in revisions after I had the problem to try to see where it was occurring. And the first thing I was trying was to 'refresh'. I think I also tried deleting the cache folder.

Anyway, while I was trying to pin-point the issue you released another update and with that the problem went away so I just forgot about it.

    Hope this helps.

@hunter13, yes, after you install MM just run BDEMU2.pkg once... then delete lvl2 patcher from the XMB and restart your PS3

Though I have trouble with Multiman since 2.xx. It freezes contstantly and it just get worse with 2.01.
With 2.00.02, I could at least browse the Game section in XMMB, whever I went aside to the left, it got frozen.
With latest release it just freeze after 2 sec after XMMB loaded. If I'm fast enought I can navigate left-right... but dead in the end and PS3 needs hard reboot.

I have 3.55 kmeaw, no problem on executing backups with other managers or earlier versions of multiman.
    Phat PS3 model, 80GB.

I have removed Multiman and installed a fresh one.
    I have removed all emulators.
Have tried to delete sound.bin under MM.
I have deconfigured in options.ini the emu and game folders to avoid scanning.
Have put BR-disk to tray and tried the same while removing it.
...All with no success. Hard reset needed after few sec.

I know some of the members suffer from similar problem. Have not seen resolution so far.

The only thing that makes me curious is the fact the I store relatively large home video collection on ps3 HDD; about 350 AVCHD files from a sony camcorder.
    Can this be a reason?

I have 2 pictures under pic section. LAN is disabled in SYSTEM->NETWORKS.
Any other guess, advise besides (try to install back OFW 3.55 and then KMEAW 3.55 again))

    thx in advance

Hi deank, made some testing following the above report.
Moving my 350+ AVCHD videos out of the default dir that the PS3 uses ( basically you don't see them on XMB) solved the freezing issue.

That is good and bad. Finally I can enjoy MM!!
But I lost access to my home videos from XMB.

I'm confident now, it is a bug. Hopefully you find time to fix for some of us out there.
    Keep up the good work.

    cheers,
    cuBre

    Thats a big shame , I will move from 120GB to 1000GB so 11% = 110GB miss
