I certainly agree with that, 100%. The multiMAN project has absolutely nothing to do with porting emulators.
But I think 'shoaibps3' is one of those guys who has completely misunderstood the new emulator support of multiMAN.
He probably believes (like many others have also stated) that multiMAN now includes all these emulators as part of itself, which is of course completely false.
Each of the emulators now supported by multiMAN is an entirely separate project (as you know better than most), and is installed as a separate package into its own separate game installation folder, having absolutely NOTHING in common with the installation folder of multiMAN.
The only thing such an emulator has in common with multiMAN is that both are 'aware' of the existence of the other, and know in which installation folder it 'lives'. And it is this that allows multiMAN to invoke an emulator when the user chooses to run a ROM in the retro menu of multiMAN, and it is also how such an emulator can know how to exit back to multiMAN when the user chooses to leave the emulator using such a command.
NB: Of course I know that you are fully aware of these facts squarepusher2, so my statements above are for the benefit of other site members, who may have misunderstood the situation as badly as 'shoaibps3' must have done.
That is one way to do it, but a new port would be equally welcome to me. Your statement that "speed/emu compatibility is just not up to snuff" is not necessarily true for a new port just because it is an apt description of the known failed ports. The mere fact that one working emu exists, though we lack control over it, is sufficient proof that another port could also be equally successful. The big question is whether it is more practical to redo the work of 'Team Cobra' or to make a new high quality port from scratch.Somebody needs to hack the pre-existing Sony PS1 emu - that's the only thing that is needed - don't waste your time porting any PS1 emu - it's already been tried before and speed/emu compatibility is just not up to snuff. It's never going to lead anywhere - we just need the hacked PS1 emu (which Team Cobra already accomplished).
But such speculation really belongs in an emulator forum anyway, so not in here...

Hi Denak, excuse the trouble.I have questions as regards multiman,
1° Which directory for video files, photos and mp3 to display in the column of belonging xxmb? As you can see from the image's http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/48/rainxa.jpg
2° The Rom in which directory should be placed?
3° What is the extension of the Rom Snes9x, Genesis FCEU, VBA, FBA Emulator?
4° Why the rom with this extension (NES) will not work?
5° How do I use the screenshot in Multiman ,where they are saved?
6° Because I can not vissualizare icons emulators? As you can see from the image's http://img806.imageshack.us/img806/7444/cf4x.jpg
