You're right of course. I should have said "path redirection" instead of "disc redirection" in that sentence. But the effect remains the same (fortunately) as the movies then play just as well as they would from a physical disc.
I'm glad to hear it.p.s. All issues with picture viewer are solved now.
The last version I tested was already very good at this, with the one remaining problem affecting only the first picture in my PS3 'photo' subfolders when viewed from XMMB.

Well the emulator itself does indeed support .zip but does MM support ROMs in .zip is a different question.
I have a question of my own. For some strange reason the covers are not appearing for my ROMs. I have Condorstrike's .pkg installed, all my covers are under covers_retro/snes/*.*
Any suggestions why the covers are not appearing under Retro tab in XMMB? Is there something I need to add in options.ini?
Regards,
NeilJames
Edit:
Forgot to mention that, Yes, the name of the cover and the name of the ROM are exactly the same. Minus the .jpg extension of the cover and the .smc extension of the ROM.
Here I must chime in with what killbill99999 said in a recent post, that Dean probably won't bother with translations at this point. But I put a different 'slant' on it...
I do NOT want Dean to squander his valuable coding time on nonsense such as localization, when he could instead be spending that same time on functional improvements and additions to the application. And I think that most other MM users agree with me on this.
I myself do not have English as my native language, but anyone living and working with modern computers and consoles today has to have a decent grasp on the English language anyway. Because whether we like it or not, English is the global language for all such developments.

On the issue of ROM placement, I'd advice all users to place their ROMs in some folder that is not a subfolder of the emulator package, for the same reason that most of us no longer put PS3 games inside a subfolder of a backup manager package.
Sooner or later it may become necessary to delete such a package in order to replace it with a fresh copy, and unless the ROMs are stored elsewhere it will be necessary at each such time to backup those ROMs (and SRAMs) and then to restore them again after reinstalling the new package.
Personally I have solved those problems by making a special subfolder under the same GAMES folder I use for PS3 backups, but using a name and folder structure that multiMAN does not see as a game, so it is ignored. Inside that folder I then have a subfolder for ROMs of each emulated console type, so one for SNES and another for NES and so on. And inside each of those folders I also have a collection folder for SRAM files (or other gamesave type) of those ROMs.
This way, whenever an Emu update demands deleting the original package, I am free to do so without risking loss of either the ROMs or the game saves associated with that Emu.
Naturally this method only works for Emus that allow user configuration of the paths used for loading ROMs and game saves. But I think all of the Emus that Squarepusher2 is involved with already allow that, and for any that don't this would obviously be the top priority thing to be modified.

What you are doing wrong is you didn't read. Below statement is taken from the notes posted by DeanK where he posted his download link to the update:-
"p.s. You may get an error during SNEX9x installation that you already have a newer version. If you don't have roms - remove the old and install the new. Otherwise backup the ROMs."
In other words Backup your ROMS and uninstall the old Emulator before installing the one included by DeanK.
Ok guys, here's NES-eMMu.PKG
879 NES COVERS, resized to MM's size. Now we just gotta wait till Dean adds the emmulator.

There was a small change in the latest test update (with testing purposes) - that's why the columns are reloaded each time. It will be okay in next update.
Max entries in column = 768 for now.
It scans all subfolders.
It will be ok.
It was fixed later in [multiMAN ver 2.00.02 UPDATE (20110527_003000)].
I'll see later about the .zip files and add them as supported.

not sure if I'm being ignored or if my post just got skipped over. And I really hate mentioning this again, not trying to spam.
Whenever I disable theme audio, I lose all audio. Even in the regular PS3 XMB and while watching a video with Showtime. Whenever I enable the audio again, everything is fine.I was just wondering if someone else could test this out to see if it's just me or if it's a possible glitch.
