dean maybe mm dont need a webbroser to collect pkg´s or themes.
go to the playstationstore icon in the xmb, there popup a window with nice bigger icons, maybe mm can do the same.
of course the spiffy site must make a .xml file for this i think, but this will not need the brower.

when i totaly wrong, please forget it

Theme list is served from one server, previews from one or more, pkg downloads from one or more hosts. It is not locked to a specific download server, which means that if we can sort it out I can use spiffy - that of course means direct download and no web pages/ads/etc.

Yes, opium2k mentioned the 3D covers and I replied that you should not go for hardcoded covers. It is possible to generate the 3D look from a standard 2D (260x300) cover on the fly. I'll need some time to implement it.

I really like the 3D look and the idea!
Gotcha... If you cannot parse out an XML easily then my spiffy feed could be done in simple txt or however it needs to be. The site is based on the themes being stored outside the webroot and served up based on the URL and .htaccess redirect, but if we can get that working with multiMAN, that would be great and I am open to testing until we can get it working. No need to serve up ads or anything, but the only thing I would request if we do use spiffy for themes is that a URL show up somewhere stating thats the site the themes are coming from so people can go there and add their own themes to help the database grow.

That 3d cover preview was generated from a normal flat cover and automatically created the 3d cover. I am going to have it auto create them and store them on the server. To create them on-the-fly as people request them is not necessary and would take up LOTS of resources due to the image warping that is involved. Anyway, its going to be fantastic and will serve up dvd, bluray, xbox, ps3, ps1 etc...

I will give you more details as the site becomes closer to completion and we can try to work something out with multiMAN and 3d covers.

I think you asked about thumbs in PHOTO column for larger images. It now it can generate thumbs for JPEGs 3840x3840 and to display images with resolution up to 15360x8640 (scaled down to 1920x1080).

Or better yet, have each cover zoom in a bit as they are selected. I think that would be a cool look, and it would improve visibility in the 8x4 view.

@Deank, have you considered, in the list modes (ex. fullpng2), scrolling the list one line at a time when you reach the bottom of the page, rather than jumping a whole page?

Could somebody please create a .pkg for this God of War theme I made? I would really appreciate it and I would like to contribute to MM's new theme downloading utility. Thank you.

Is there anything that can be done about the bad image scaling when running in 720p?

The Multiman backgrounds/theme images and Covers are all jagged on diagonals and look like they are being upscaled from really low-res images in 720p - but they look fine when running 1080p?

I dont' bother with 1080p because my TV is only 720p, and the Games and Emulators see no benefit from it at 1080p. Also, some of the bigger or less optimized games (Red Dead Redemption, Ghostbusters) lag a bit in 1080p but not in 720p. The System also runs a lot cooler in 720p, which is key for me since I'm running an already YLOD'd once 60GB CECHA01 launch model.

    Thanks.
