Pressing R2 on latest version as of this post (1.17.00) doesn't scan the game folder as it should - it brings up a help menu showing all the various button combinations one can use.
Only way to check a game folder is to go into the submenu and check from the option there.
Some scenarios where the screen changes what is being rendered completely, for example if one scans for new games - once finished - sometime the top 1\5th of the background graphics for a game can be garbled.
Changing display options doesn't get rid of the corrupt garbled background portion but does sometimes alter the amount of the background image that is garbled by a small amount.
Had this happen the 2nd time booting up the new 1.17.00 version, it's happened about 3 out of 12 times that I have booted up this version.
When using the file manager and then slecting a .pkg file multiman offers to go back to the XMB and allow the pkg to be installed from the XMB, this doesn't actually work though as pkg doesn't show up on "install package" menu on XMB. (The package is NOT located in the root of the USB device or HDD0 - which I suspect is the problem). Maybe it was never the intention to actually add such a featue and it is the wording that is incorrect, but the wording definately implies that it will add the pkg to the "install package" menu.
Great work deank, great work on doom9 too
ps3haze - I love the fact that everyone has these grand ideas with no idea what they're talking about... I'm not saying that I've done anything, but I have a good understanding of the complexities involved.
