Can Multiman read off BD-r? Say I burn a few of my smaller games to BD-r to D:\Games\GAME_ID?
Anyway I ripped all 23 of my PS3 games to the internal hdd yesterday. I notice a significant speed improvement in load time. It's awesome. Now I can carry my PS3 around w/out the discs.
If I rip a new game from the blueray disc using Multiman 1.14.1 do I still need to run fix permissions on it prior to mounting it.
My understanding is that fix permission is ONLY required when you transfer your backup from FTP or some external harddisk as then it might not have correct permissions then.
Also, I read in other threads that PL3 lv2 patch is required prior to running fix permissions. MultiMAN 1.14 has inbuilt fix permissions, so does it mean that when we run the fix permission in MultiMAN it loads the PL3 lv2 patch and then fixes the permissions?
So once PL3 is loaded to memory as required by fix permissions, won't it conflict with Syscall36 when I try to play the game?
Was searching the forums to figure the answer to my question to no avail. Can you please assist me? Thanks
After doing a bit of searching on the thread, I'm trying to determine if I'm being tidy with my backups. Is it possible to shadow copy game data (the data some games require you to install on initial execution) so as to reduce the need to have redundant data on the internal hard drive? ie: hdd0:game/shadow copied required game data, linked to usb0:GAMES/PS3 GAME and/or hdd0:GAMES/PS3 GAME
This way the game believes that the necessary files already exist removing the need to install it? Games like MGS4's mandatory 4gb install add up on my 160gb. If possible, how would I go by implementing it? Currently have a handful of backups on usb and 3 4gb+ games on internal. Thanks.

I installed some of your newer themes such as GOW, butterflies, & uncharted in addition to the ones that came with the latest megapack of MM. The issue I am experiencing is that I install the theme pkg files, go to the theme winodow in MM & only see 18 themes listed. These 18 themes do not include the three themes mentioned above. Any thoughts, ideas on this?
Raziel, describe your HDD in detail here.
Brand, RPM, Size, Cache... in short describe as much as possible about that problematic HDD ...
So that DEAN can narrow down the problem IF its a MM issue AT ALL :chinscrat
Btw, it wouldnt hurt to just diagnose your HDD anyway ... At least a Quick Test is in order just to be sure !
Bad/weak sectors are PERMANENTLY though and do stay on you HDD, but are re-allocated to an different "reserved" part of the HDD people.
so, you might have saved a couple months, Weeks, Days  who knows how badly the HDD is worn out !!
I want to ask a question in return!
Its clear to me some games refuse to work through MM period, regardless of wotever method that can be used !!
Now my question is, is that entirely up to DEAN to fix compatibility to get it to work in the future.
Or is the compatibility broken since CFW 3.55, and therefor cant be fixed by any BM at all !?
Because frankly, i have reported some games not to work (not the conventional way atleast) in BM threads (like this one) and iam not sure if i have been reporting that in the right place to get help  :D
Im new here and also new to the scene, I turned to the dark side two days ago and been loving kmeaw+multiman so far. I installed multiman 1.14.00 with covers, themes, ftp etc. now the new 1.14.01 is just 30mb. Now my n00b question is (you might have guessed by now) should i overwrite the package or do i need to remove 1.14.00 before installing 1.14.01?
Thanks and sry if this was already asked,
From Venezuela with love.
