I've recently migrated my PS3 from 'OFW 3.41' to 'CFW 3.55 kmeaw' and after some initial problems with games due to multiMAN 01.13.01 I first replaced that version with 01.13.04 and its test updates to eliminate all those problems, and now I've replaced those with multiMAN 01.14.00, which works fine with all my games (as far as I've had time to test them).
But there is one serious bug in the new versions, both the current 01.14.00 and the test versions that preceded it, in that AVCHD playback from internal HDD has been completely lost.
The AVCHD movies installed to internal HDD still appear in the combined Games+AVCHD listing of multiMAN, and selecting a movie here and pressing 'X' has the same effect as before, meaning that one of two things will occur.
1: If this movie was never used before by multiMAN it usually suggests 'converting' the movie from blueray format to AVCHD (absurd when the movie comes from an AVCHD DVD ISO file), which I always accept. The result is of course no real video format conversion (would take ages), but merely some different indexing method (or so I assume). This seems to work just as well now as it did with the old firmware and multiMAN versions.
2: If the movie is already accepted by multiMAN as its kind of AVCHD then the program suggests mounting it for playback, and on confirmation of this it proceeds to create a dummy AVCHD structure in a folder on the USB drive, after which multiMAN exits to XMB. And this too seems to work just as well now as it did with the old firmware and multiMAN versions.
But when I'm back in XMB and attempt playback of the 'mounted' AVCHD movie, by browsing the XMB to the USB drive and the AVCHD entry in it, and pressing 'X' to activate that entry, this does not work properly (though it did do so with old firmware and multiMAN versions).
But now the PS3 just temporarily blackens screen and makes some resolution switch (detected by my HDTV set), after which it switches back again and reverts back to the XMB.
This has been tested several times with several movies, including both newly installed ones, under new firmware and multiMAN, as well as movies installed under the old firmware with old multiMAN versions and which also played back well from HDD at that time.
In fact I did playback some of those old movies after migrating to the new firmware, but before I had upgraded multiMAN beyond version 01.13.01, and even now I can play all AVCHD movies from burned DVD-R discs (so multiMAN is not involved at all).
To me this indicates that the kind of redirection required to make the dummy AVCHD stuff on the USB drive lead to access of the real movie on HDD is no longer working in the new multiMAN 01.14.00 nor in the test versions that led up to it. Those test versions had the same problem with AVCHD playback too, at least from test version 3 and onwards, which is when I started noticing the problem.
I hope you can fix this problem, so that AVCHD movies can be used from PS3 HDD again.

Is multi man 13.02+ failing to let you install new movies to the internal hard drive and than restructure them? I can get them to the internal hdd i can convert them from blu ray to AVCHD but when it restructers for play back your PS3 locks up until reset, weird because this never happen before all movies and games piror to this work???
Deank maybe you should add a little note on main post about the GH or non GH. Hopefully it will drop that question that keeps getting asked.
I have multiman 1.13.02 on my ps3. how do I update to 1.14.00 and what package should i get for kmeaow 3.55?
