Hi deank,
First, I want to thank you for bringing multiMan to us - this software is simply awesome.
I would like to request just one more feature:
PSN / Homebrew / Game icon organizing tool for XMB
It could be something like on PSP filer software, which allows you to swap icons in XMB. For now, if I would like to have multiman tool and last game icons at the beginning of all other PSN icons like I am used to - I have to set my PS3 time two year behind before installation. Only than it will installs as the first icon (before all other psn icons that were previously installed). It just feels wrong to do such manipulations :)
Also, it would be nice to be able do sorting and organizing of psn and homebrew apps in XMB.
What do you think, could it be possible to implement such feature for PS3?
How is it possible to change cover ?????
if not, i need cover for
bles01614 007 legends
bles01667 assassins creed iii,
blus31048 Disney toy story mania,
bles01516 Lego lord of the ring
bces01422 Littlebigplanet kating.
It looks right at first, and then it updates MultiMan cover, and now it looks wrong??? funny why not let the cover be, if it not know.
Hi, everybody! Happy holidays!
I have a Multi-Man question and was hoping to ask for help from folks who know the ins and outs of it far better than I :)
I love this app, I use it almost every day, but I've been having file transfer issues with the past several updates.
It's amazing how fast the latest versions run but my ability to transfer files from an external drive to the PS3 itself or another external drive seems to have been affected.
It started about three updates ago.
I encode a lot of my backed up movie files as mp4s and set them at a 4gb limit so I can send them back and forth. I'd been using the file manager in MM to do this flawlessly for a long, long time, but recently the files were copying to a certain point, say 98 to 99%, and then hanging. I fiddled with things a bit and found that I was now unable to send movie files over individually but that if I created a folder for them, put them in that folder, and copied the folder to where I wanted it to go, things worked fine.
With the most recent update to MM this method no longer works for me. The files go where they need to and when MM is finished it cuts to the screensaver, but when I check the destination folder the film has been split into two files. One is listed as 3gb and the other around 64M or so. Neither file will play via Showtime.
I had considered that the filesize may be off as my movie files come dangerously close to the 4gb limit, but I am able to transfer them from my source computer just fine and can access them via Showtime to play them. The trick is I have them on a portable external drive. I use it for transport only and generally send my files to a larger 2TB drive connected to my PS3.
I experimented a bit with Comgenie's Awesome File Manager but was unable to install any version without an error message. Besides, I want to stick with MM. It's just such an amazing app!
I've done a great deal of searching on this topic and cannot find other users experiencing similar issues. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated! If I could downgrade to the previous version I could still transport files in the folder method but I'd like to avoid that if possible and work with the current version.
I have just downloaded today's update (4.17.1) and am going to see if the problem repeats itself.
I am running Rogero 4.31 on a PS3 slim.
Thank you!
PS It's splitting my files again with the latest update. Every mp4 was split. Will uninstall MM and re-install an earlier version. I don't want to do purposefully re-install a slower version but I really need the file transfer functionality.
I downgraded back to MM 4.16.00 and that fixed my transfer issues. My movie files are able to be copied back and forth just as they were before and open fine with Showtime. Something might have changed somewhere between that base version and the latest few updates to alter the way data transfers are handled for certain types of files. On the latest builds nothing else seemed affected for me, though. Copy times from game discs worked fine and everything had a massive speed boost. This is one amazing app and I love it.
I haven't seen anyone experiencing this same issue at all, but if anyone does and finds my thread through searching please know that 4.16.00 seems to transfer mp4 and mkv files just fine to and from any drive you wish under Rogero 4.31. I wish I could help in some way by explaining what happened, but I cannot. Maybe my experience will help someone else in a similar boat! Thanks again to Deank for all he does!
Thanks =)
Yes, the limit was changed to ~3950MB (just a bit under 4GB)... Update to 04.17.02 and it will be ok - i restored it to the previous split value. You should keep the file sizes under ~4093MB.
For some reason my games in external slows down to the point that it is unplayable when I install multiman version that is higher than 4.11 (my external hdd is a toshiba 600gb)
Also my external HDD has a feature that enters a power saving mode every 5 minutes if the hdd is not in use. this feature causes disc read errors in some games that uses installed game data because it leaves my external hanging.
If someone has a solution in 2 of my problems above I'll be really grateful if you tell me
None of your issues are related to multiMAN.
Hi, deank! Thank you for your reply! I'll keep that in mind about filesizes when I encode new films! I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my question and want to thank you again for all of the work you put into this amazing program! Best wishes this holiday.
