So I'm having this problem again, after changing the password in Multiman and disabled (Delete), I needed to delete Dirt since it showing up in MultiMan and kids accidentally click it .............
Entered my code and it once again says incorrect code, after (5) tries had to switch it off.
Before any more implementations, however nice may be (Do Not) get me wrong, amazed by your work/knowledge/skill.
Can this problem be rectified ?
Can you please change this:
# multiMAN will scan /dev_usb00*/ROMS for game roms, too
# multiMAN will scan /dev_usb00*/ROMS/SNES for game roms, too
So multiMAN is not searching the whole ROMS Folder.Only the Romfolder for the choosen Emu.
@scooby doo ; I have mine in dev_usb000/ROMS/snesroms/.smc ; and they are found ; for those who dont want snes on main/orig xmb dont know if this has already been stated you dont need to install snes pkg , just extract and ftp SNES90000 To dev_hdd0/game/ and launch as individual roms from retro ; i am only using snes as rest are really unplayable by my book; also sick of cluttering xmb with icon0's in game section 1 for all
just multiMAN;@Dean keep up good work , carry on prioritising as you see fit , if they dont like it something tells me they cannot do anything about it and if they moan it's just more likely the 'suggestion' will never happen simply out of principal
I use an USB Extender and my USB is now usb_dev006-usb_dev009.I have all my Roms on USB/Roms/SNES,NES,VBA,AMIGA,ATARI 2600.So multiMAN is searching ALL Folders for roms. Many of the Roms are in .zip format so multiMAN is thinking,itīs a SNES Rom.

I know GenesisGXPlus is one, but will you be able to add Stella? I would just be happy with those two.
Check this out :)
It is a small app I created long time ago and decided to put as POC. You'll like it.

As a fellow developer (windows only xD) I understand how busy you probably are working on fixes, requests, new features, new ideas and such. So I hope this doesn't bother you, but there is something regarding "NTSF" and the activation process that I believe deserve some attention.
At least in my experience I was having the weird problem with my HDDs, after correctly editing USB.CFG with my USB details and activating the option, Multiman would freeze and I would not respond anymore, so eventually I had to reboot the PS3.
I tested the NTSF feature with different types of HDDs and had the same issue, and after many times I got it working.
To make it work I had to select the NTSF option on Multiman and wait for the message prompt, then at that moment I connected my USB HDD and waited specifically around 5 seconds, and then I selected "Yes" to continue. That way Multiman wouldn't freeze.
My observation from testing many times was that if the USB HDD is connected when selecting the option (at least in my case) multiman would seem to have problem detecting it, and if I choose the NTSF option and while the message is up I don't wait 5 seconds and hit "Yes" in less time, it would make the PS3 freeze.
I don't know how difficult if could be but, my recommendation to at least try to solve detection issues would be to add some kind of routine to do a few simple verifications before activating the NTSF feature, like for example, verify if the USB is actually detected, and prompt the user to try again or something, instead of just trying to proceed and ending in a PS3 system crash / freeze. Or at least add a 5 seconds delay to detect the USB HDD and maybe a Timeout.
Sorry for the long post xD haha, and sorry for my bad english =P, I hope this helps you in some way, if not then Im sorry xD
Take Care Dean! and keep up the good work! ^^
