Yes, I 'unlocked' the hidden /dev_hdd1 cache partition on the PS3. It is just 2GB and available only within multiMAN, but still 2GB to store stuff. It is also available via FTP.

I still can't figure out where the rest of the HDD disappear to in the PS3. :(

Is there anyone around with BD writer and a spare BD-RE disc to check if it is possible to launch a game off a non original (recordable) BD disc?

I tested with DVD media but games load just to a point and error out, because the drive doesn't serve the files.

I created a small application which will appear on the Game XMB column as BD-ROM and will allow you to launch a game burned to a disc, which the PS3 doesn't recognize as genuine BD game disc.

If there is anyone around with bd burner - let me know and I'll post the PKG (it is just 170KB).

Just started using your manager, which is awesome. The only thing I've noticed, and it's really petty, but when you launch a game it says, "Do you want to start the game now, without exitting to XMB?" exitting should be spelt exiting.

Also, is there a way to edit the .ini so that it always go to XMB without asking that question?

Yes - it is described in the ini:

# direct_launch=1 (0 - don't ask for direct launch / 1 - ask for direct launch)

All images seem to be 260x299. I fixed them and added to the online cover download server. I'll also update the first post for the COVERS PACK (851 covers now).

FILE MANAGER:

* Launch games from any folder (click [X] on EBOOT.BIN)
* Mount AVCHD from any folder (click [X] on INDEX.BDM)
* Mount BDMV (Blu-ray) from any folder (click [X] on index.bdmv)
* New option in INI: mount_hdd1=1 (to use 2GB PS3 cache partition)

(the archive also includes BD-ROM.pkg as described in the previous posts).

You can also update within the manager, which is always the first update available, before posting it at PS* sites.
