multiMAN - multifunctional tool for your PS3 (Game manager/File manager/FTP/AVCHD/BDMV)

I know with the old versions of MM you used to just hit select + x to load a black screen game (which still works in 1.17.xx), but now it doesn't save that setting anymore as default. I messed around for a while and I think if I select BD Mirror it mimics select+X. I got 2 games working so far... but just for my knowledge, am I doing it right? Am I supposed to be selecting BD Mirror, and if so what does BD Mirror mean?

If you wish to modify the eboot.bin file then you need only ebootMOD.exe.

ebootMOD - processes ONE file only (EBOOT.BIN or *.SELF or *.SPRX)

ebootFIX - processes a whole game folder and generates 2 outputs (1:PKG format to be installed as XMB icon/PSN style; 2: game folder with all files processed with ebootMOD / retail mode / to be used with game manager).

SELECT+X was replaced by the "BD mirror" option in the submenu.

So is proccessing ONE file only (ebootMOD) enough to make some game work? I mean what is its difference in processing ALL files (ebootFIX folder 2)?

good to know. I tried to load Assassin's Creed for the first time today with SELECT+X and it just booted me back the xmb. I'm going to try it with BD mirror tomorrow.

Excellent work with the manager man. After you release the xmb replacement, you are going to be reaching FreeStyle Dash status. It's going to be sweet whenever we are finally going to be able to load MM at startup. Just think, from simple game launcher to full xmb replacement. Once you hit that far you should probably change the name though, since it will be more than just a manager.

SO BDMirror has the same effect of having a game disc inside the bluray drive of the ps3?

Ok, folks. Here is the latest test T15 version (updated). To use it you MUST have BASE or FULL 01.17.02 installed

MUSIC and VIDEO columns are now working :) Also all titles have names and everything. PHOTO column is also populated.

multiMAN will scan your internal HDD for music and video files + all external USB connected drives (/VIDEO and /MUSIC folders).

MUSIC column supports: MP3, AC3, DTS and FLAC audio files. MP3 will be played within multiMAN. Other types via Showtime.

VIDEO column supports: m2ts, divx, avi, mts, mpg, mpeg, mkv, mp4, vob, wmv, flv, mov, m2v, bik, bink, 264, h264 and video will be launched via Showtime.
It also supports BDMV, AVCHD and DVD folder formats.

love the updates to the xmb view....working perfectly

would like to just make a suggestion Dean,
could u make the scrolling like the original xmb(holding a direction causes repeated scrolling)
since there are a lot of items under some tabs,it would make navigation much easier and less laborious
