MultiMAN and DVD

I'm was sure MultiMAN could backup DVD videos, but recently I tried backing up the office season 1 to my external and it didn't back up like my games? anyone know whats up.

My PS3 is a 3.55 kmeaw cfw. I'm downloading MultiMAN 1.16.11 (MEGA) but I used 1.16.11 (full) when I tried copying the video, if that matters. Thanks for any help!

I don't think so actually. I think it can play .VOB's and such from a DVD that you may have already ripped, but I don't think it will do the ripping for you as the DVD is probably copy protected.

so I need to back up thos DVD's using a ripper for pc? and then if I wan't I can put them on an external and use multiman to load them up?

Perhaps, to be honest I don't know with any certainty if such a feature exists in MM. I know that there was a standalone app for such a thing a few weeks back. Don't recall the name unfortunately. I can't say for sure if the app in question was ever added to MM. Sorry I could not be more help. I took a quick look at the current feature list for MM and .VOB playback doesn't seem to be on there. Worst case, you could rip, then re-encode to a correct format.

I'm pretty sure PS3 reads vob files w/o the use of any app

The PS3 will only rip a PS3 game...not a DVD, not a blu-Ray, not a PS2/PS1 game, not an Xbox 360 game, not a Wii game....Just a PS3 Game.

2 years ago i was ripping dvd's in yellow dog otheros, the ps3 is very well capable of ripping dvdroms and cdrom's and especially blurays.

Just rip dvd movies on pc, put in external and use the video to watch all vob files.
