I have installed cfw on a few PS3's so kinda know what I'm doing now.

Bought a PS3 on ebay and got done over as when I opened it, its seems they took the Bluray drive out, not sure why but there you go. Now I fixed it up and when I turned it on found it was 3.2 something FW. I tried updating to OFW 3.55 had problems because of the missing drive but fixed it by putting a spare drive in. (I know the spare is not married to the PS3 and I can't play disks etc.)

Anyway from there I installed CFW 3.55 Kmeaw, then I got to installing MultiMAN 1st tried v4.20.04 got a black screen and console wouldn't respond, thinking it was something wrong with the version of MultiMAN I was starting with I deleted it and tried v4.14.00, still the same problem. Now I am pretty sure the main problem is that missing/spare drive I put in but, is there something I can do with MultiMAN or is there some version I can start up without having the correct drive in (or no drive at all)

Any help would be great even if there's a way to remarry another drive without having the original that would be great.
