    Hi all,

I jailbroke my PS3 Slim with kmeaw and Multiman 2.07.03 and installed BDEMU2 355 pkg as well. I have tried setting the permissions through MultiMan and it still doesn't work.

I have tried to backup 3 of my PS3 games so far and I have experienced problems with two:

Game #1: God of War III
Problem #1: After I launch game from MultiMan and it kicks me out to XMB, and I try to launch from another BD (not God of War), it goes black then comes back to XMB and I get error: An error occurrred during the start operation ( 80010017 ).
Problem #2: I then went in and updated God of War III through MultiMan and after installing the .pkg file and re-launching from the BD option, I get no error message but it simply kicks me back out to XBM instead of starting the game.
Update: This problem of getting no error message and kicking me back to XBM is happening on many, many games.

    Game #2: Mortal Kombat
Problem: Like with God of War III, An error occurrred during the start operation ( 80010017 ).
Update: I was able to get this game to work by downloading a specific patch for it from this forum (I can't post links but search title: "[Guide] Mortal Kombat 9"

So far, only Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II has worked correctly. I've tried researching as best I could online (for hours, actually) and have not come up with any working solutions. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Are you trying to run them from internal HDD or external? If you have not done as follows do it and try again:

-Go to XMMB Settings column and press Triangle and select Advanced Settings and then still under the Settings column scroll down to BD-ROM Emulator and set it to Hermes and enable Verify USB Games. You can try and delete any game updates you might have installed and try again and always try to play the backups with a disc on drive. You said you had applied Permissions but if you have not done any of the steps i posted apply it again. Also you must have the 2.07.01 BASE/FULL version of multiMAN installed before applying the 2.07.03 update.

If you have done all of this and it still doesnt work try this:

    * Download and install "FIX PERMISSIONS" package file (download link)
    * Start the tool and wait for it to finish its job - it will return you back to XMB screen
    * Try to launch multiMAN and load a game - all should be okay now.
    Hope it helps

    KGB,

I really appreciate the detailed response and, unfortunately, I have tried everything in your recommendation to no avail. My emulator is set to Hermes, Veryify USB Games is enabled, and I've tried the Fix Permissions file that you recommended, as well. I am backing up mygames to internal and external hard drives and I get the same issue for both. Also, I installed MultiMan 2.07.01 FULL first and then updated.

Only a two games have worked for me so far: Mortal Kombat (after patch) and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. God of War III, Fight Night Champion, and Tekken 6 don't work.

If you were experiencing this problem, what would you reccommend now? Reformat back to 3.55 OFW and start again? Use a different backup manager?

I thank you again for your help, it is truly appreciated.

I'm sorry for your trouble, i dont know what else to suggest, i have Mortal Kombat, Tekken 6 and God of War III and i have them working fine on external, no problem whatsoever. I am not on kmeaw so i really dont know what else to suggest, you wont find a better manager than multiMAN so i would stick to it and afaik kmeaw is a pretty stable fw. Have you done your own backups or have you download them? If you downloaded them make sure they were not prepatched for 3.41, make sure the EBOOT.BINs are original ones

Hope you can sort it out,

    Regards

    KGB,

I've been backing up from the original discs that I own so it shouldn't be that. When I try to load the eBoot PC program and run the eBoot fix it doesn't work right. It says that it cannot read the eBoot file. I wonder if this could be the problem... I'll check tomorrow if it does it with my other games and if I still can't get it to work I'll format the hard drive and restart the entire process and see If it's successful.

If anybody else has experienced these errors please let me know and let me know if anything worked. Thanks again to KGB and deank for your help.

Update: I reformatted my hard drive, reinstalled 3.55 OFW, then reinstalled 3.55 Kmeaw CFW, then deleted my saved GOWIII file and copied it to my internal hard disc drive from the original disc again, then ran "Permission" from MultiMan before 1st launch of the saved game from the hard drive, and it now works! I'm not sure what was causing it though. Very weird, but thanks everyone for your help!
