Hide some of the displays?
Hide some of the displays? –
Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to hide/delete some of the displays. I always use the same display + filemanager and I would like not to have to go through all the displays to switch between those 2. Thank you
Isn't this thread saying how to set a specific display as default? I already know how to do that. I was wondering if it was possible to delete some of the displays.
Apologies for assuming that if you just locked a display mode then there would be no need to delete any other display. Sorry my reply didn't help you. I have no idea how to delete specific displays. Have you tried poking around in the MM directory?

Since nobody answered, I guess it's just not possible. I've went through multiman directory and I did not find anyway I could mod it myself. Is there way to suggest this add-on? I guess sending a pm to deank is as effective as putting a condom with a virgin?...
Strange analogy, because using a condom with a virgin would still be effective. But yeah, he doesn't read his pm's, on purpose, just too many of them. You could offer the suggestion in his main multiMAN thread, but that suggestion has been offered there before.

You want just one display mode, huh? So why don't you use the option "Lock Display Mode"? That way you can lock the display mode to the one you want and just use SELECT+START to go to the filemanager. Pressing "Games" in the filemanager will get you back to the display mode you want without having to scroll through the other display modes. It's essentially the same as hiding/deleting the other display modes.
ok, but what is, when he wants to use 2 display modes? i would like to use xmb clone and 4x2 display mode... that would be nice...

(And the option routine would of course have a block against disabling XMMB.)
Like I said, implementing it should be extremely simple, but the main question here is not one of difficulty but of what features Dean wants in his program.
Personally though, I consider it more important to remove the L1/R1 commands from the File Manager, as it makes no sense to right-shift or left-shift to different game modes in the original sequence, now that the File Manager has been removed from the normal sequence of display modes. (Which I see as a very good change btw.)
The 'Games' command in the menu really should be the only way to exit from the File Manager to game display modes. Or maybe the old Select-L1 command too, since that one still makes sense, returning to the previous mode before File Manager entry. But the L1/R1 commands make no sense at all any more, being defined for 'previous mode' and 'next mode' in a sequence where the File Manager mode is no longer included.
