I wanna to keep the Sony XMB simple and launch these emulators only via MM, is it possible to hide them from XMB whiles still retaining their functions in MM?
It is possible but I'd advice against doing it:
1) Get all emulators installed in XMB
2) Copy the emulator folders to a safe location. Example:
Copy /dev_hdd0/game/SNES9000 -> /dev_****/SNES90000
Copy /dev_hdd0/game/FBAN0000 -> /dev_****/FBAN00000
etc..
3) Now uninstall the emulators from XMB (triangle -> delete)
4) Copy back the folders you backed up to their original locations.
That is what I do as well, and not just for emulators. I have created several other such folders (or 'Albums' as they are called in XMB terms).
I think all who really use a large number of PS3 homebrews need to make good use of this 'Album' method, to make it possible to access everything in an orderly manner.
Too bad that these 'Albums' aren't real folders, so we could have multiple folder levels.
But since they are not, and Sony only implemented one 'Album' level, that one will have to suffice.

Thanks deank, works great.
I had them in Album but I still felt it was a waste of space because i hardly launch them at all.
