Help with running games in Mulitman.
Help with running games in Mulitman. –

Hi I am looking for a little help, i am new to this and having a few problems. I have jail broken my PS3 (phat 60GB) with Rogero CFW v3.4 due to a non functional Blu Ray drive and have installed multiman 4.04 and DBEMU v2. I have then put a prefixed copy of uncharted 3 on the internal hard drive ( in the Games folder), Mulitman sees the game and when selected goes to the XMB screen, where uncharted 3 is shown in /app_home/PS3_game/. When i run the game it loads up and asks to install an update, which i cancel and get a spinning ring in the bottom right of the screen. After about 5 seconds please wait is displayed on the screen and the ps3 turns itself off. I have tried playing around with the settings, changing eboot etc but cant find a way of getting it to work. Has anybody got any ideas or can they see that i have missed a step? Thanks in advance.

First, you ought to update multiMAN, you got a very old version.
Second, multiMAN version 4 and higher doesn't require for you to install BDEMU v2.
Third, go here and learn to read this compatibility chart so you can learn what to do with certain games. Pay attention to the columns and also the Notes for each game. PS3 Backup Compatibility List - PSHomebrew
PS3: Slim 320GB / CFW KMEAW 3.55 / multiMAN v04.xx.xx / blackb0x FTP Server v1.2 3.55 w/ FlashFXP 4.2.x
PS2: SLIM & PHAT / FreeMcBOOT w/ESR & OPL 9-r651 / SMS w/PSClient v1.3.1
PSP: PHAT / 5.00 M33-6

I used the update function of mulitman and there are no updates i am running v4.04.03. The page you suggested tells me i should be able to run the game but i do everything said and i still get the same issue. Thank you for the quick reply and your help but the issue is not solved yet.

The spinning icon only becomes a problem if you try to extract the large PSARC files and try to run the game on External HDD--since this game is known to have thousands of small files that make an external HDD have issues. Seeing that you are trying to run it from Internal HDD, you should not have this issue--make sure all your psarc files are intact. I think you have a bad rip. I run this game from internal HDD without a glitch. And I followed the simple instructions found on that site I linked above.
If you used the correct eboot patch and it still doesn't work correctly. Try re-ripping the game again. That should be a first clue. I think you got the right eboot patch, because without it, it would not even boot up--knowing that this is a 3.72 FW game.
If you wish to explore the external HDD route--which some got mixed results, check this old topic: http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/100...oot-fix-97934/ (100% Working Uncharted 3 Eboot Fix!)
