"Oh, and how does Gaia handle BD-mirror fixes? I haven't used that manager for eons!"
what does this feature do? None of the games I have (50+) need it apparently. Thats a common theme of multiman... features I dont need or want... except for maybe 1 or 2 things unrelated to ps3 games lol.
Normally I'd be one for playing around with things but I dont trust ps3. not a big enough safety net if things go wrong (unlike other hacked systems). My stuff is working exactly how I want it right now and not going to risk it just to change the name of a application lol.

Not trying to be disrespectful, but if you don't know about BD-Mirror in multiMAN, then you really don't know the program well enough to complain about it. Right?
BD-Mirror is a feature that temporarily moves PS3_GAME folder of a game and puts in the root of a HDD in order to fix those games that you only get a black screen when launching it. It's quite a good feature to rely on for those "pesky" games. Here is a good guide: multiMAN beginner's guide | GBAtemp.net -> The Free Independent Video Game Community: 3DS, NDS, Wii, GBA, PSP, Hacking, Dingoo, PS3, Xbox 360...
PS3: Slim 320GB / CFW KMEAW 3.55 / multiMAN v04.xx.xx / blackb0x FTP Server v1.2 3.55 w/ FlashFXP 4.2.x
PS2: SLIM & PHAT / FreeMcBOOT w/ESR & OPL 9-r651 / SMS w/PSClient v1.3.1
PSP: PHAT / 5.00 M33-6
sounds like a crappy workaround instead of fixing the real problem. I'd rather have the games be proper and run without worrying about any extra "mirror" BS settings. And I just love the 5min verifying screen when you select games with multiman. Maybe you can turn it off I dont know or care. just shows how convoluted MM to have that as default option. When (IF) gaia starts failing to play newer games I'll (sadly) have to make the switch. But I'm one of the few wise people that stayed on the "basic" game loader so I know just how perfect it still is even at playing the latest 3.55 scene fixes.
In a perfect world we would be running games from the standard XMB and have some sort of background patching for fixes and settings (like dashlaunch on 360). Having to select a loader (even gaia) should be an unnecessary step.
Let me know when you can play Assassin's Creed 1, ColinMcRae Dirt 1, Prince Of Persia, NFS Shift or any other of the 50-60 games that require special handling in Gaia. Anyway, the 'verifying game data' can be turned off and it is only for user protection and the 'process' will be changed in next version.
"Crappy workaround instead of fixing the real problem"?! Ok, call the game developers and tell them to make their games compatible with your hacked PS3. That will solve the problem.
