Help, Multiman can't recognize games on an external hdd
I'm new to the ps3 scene and new to the forum, I apologize if there's a solution for this online but I just couldn't find it, I appreciate all the help I gan get.
Last week I bought a ps3 from a friend, it already came with Multiman and Rogero. It also came with several games both on disc and already backed up on the ps3's hdd. I only play these games from the hdd, they all play fine and range from old ones (shadow of the colossus) to new ones (the last of us). Because the ps3's hdd was already full, we copied the rest of the backups to my pc. Problem is, I can't copy them to the ps3's hdd or even play them.
Here's what I did, let me know if there's something wrong:
I bought a new external HDD, a seagate 3TB
I made 2 partitions, F:, which has 1TB, is formatted in FAT32, for ps3 use, the other partition is G:, formatted in NTFS for my personal use.
On the F: partition, I created a folder named GAMES, inside this folder, I added a game (using split4G and checking de .666 option) in a folder named BSE****, I can't remember the numbers.
When I start multiman with my external HDD plugged in, it doesn't recognize the game. My friend gave me a guide that says that you must open the multiman File Manager / mmOS, and copy it from there by opening PS3 Root. So I open up this program, then open PS3 Root and see that my external HDD is recognized, and named pvd_usb000 I think. I press X two times (like double click I guess?) and open the folder. There, inside my external HDD, indeed is the folder named GAMES that I created, it even has a little controler on the icon. However, I try to open this folder and the PS3 Root window closes.
That's as far as I can get. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for all your help, if you need to know anything else just let me know.
