Getting "your installation of Multiman is incomplete" error
Getting "your installation of Multiman is incomplete" error –
03-11-2013,11:22 AM
I'm trying to play some 4.31 games, and upon discovering that I need a newer version of MM to play them, I went to update. However, I got the "your installation of Multiman is incomplete" error even with different versions and updates.
I Googled, posted on another forum and did some research, so I have already done the following :
1. Deleted and reinstalled MM.
2. Installed only BASE and FULL versions.
3. Did a System Recovery Option 3. (some files were corrupted and were fixed)
4. Reinstalled my firmware. (Cobra 4.30 CFW with dongle)
Most of the versions of MM I downloaded were from brewology.com.
I STILL get this error on any version of MM I have installed except 4.18.05 base and the 4.20.02 update.
Can anyone help? I think that if I resolve my MM errors, I may be able to play 4.31 games.

I've gotten that before. Never on CFW 3.55 but when I updated to CFW 4.30 it happened only with the Cobra versions of MultiMan. For me it was caused by the dongle not initializing properly. Thankfully I found this out before I uninstalled or did anything drastic. The dongle has to be updated to Cobra FW 6.00 and the light to the far left has to be lit. Think its green but I'm color blind. When the middle blue light is lit that means its not working right. I had to move ports to the far right USB since the far left won't initialize it since I upgraded for some reason. Not sure why its like that and also you will notice that the PS3 boots up much slower when the dongle is working correctly.
Not sure if yours is the same issue but I would try a different USB port when you are sure that the dongle is running the latest FW 6.00.
Hope that helps

Well for me there is no space in my PS3 to put the dongle in the right port, so it was the left by default. It turns blue first, then red, but while it is running it is green and I still get that problem.
I'm quite certain I updated the FW on the dongle to 6.0.
Anyone else have the same experience?

Getting this too. Of course it the last of my worries because I just got banned. Perhaps updating from stealth 4.18 to 4.20 via online update screwed something up. Sometimes it pays not to update. Crappy.

Well I sort of had to update to play games past 3.55, but then I ran into problems with games on 4.31...sigh. Sorry to hear about your banning.
Anyone else can help us out?
