    Hi all:

If I rip a new game from the blueray disc using Multiman 1.14.1 do I still need to run fix permissions on it prior to mounting it.

My understanding is that fix permission is ONLY required when you transfer your backup from FTP or some external harddisk as then it might not have correct permissions then.

Also, I read in other threads that PL3 lv2 patch is required prior to running fix permissions. MultiMAN 1.14 has inbuilt fix permissions, so does it mean that when we run the fix permission in MultiMAN it loads the PL3 lv2 patch and then fixes the permissions?

No m8 still fix the permissions via the option in Multiman. The PL3 will run automagically but the fix permissions won`t AFAIK.

For the time it takes (merely seconds), just run it! No biggie to run fix permissions when u put a new (or multiple new) games on is it?

So once PL3 is loaded to memory as required by fix permissions, won't it conflict with Syscall36 when I try to play the game?

No. Kmaew LV2 patch has Syscall 36 integrated as well as other patches.

Syscall36 patch just gets backup managers running.

Unlikely it will conflict as LV2 adds Syscall 36 as well as other things, Syscall36 adds erm...Syscall 36.

If I need correcting, someone no doubt will.

I use LV2 patcher v5 on rogero BTW. Pointless info

    I don't think Kmeaw LV2 Patch has Syscall36, it has Syscall35 of PL3.

In fact my confusion is why a memory patch is needed at all to fix the file permissions?

It isn`t. Fix permissions will run from Kmaew without running any patch first. I run the fixpermissions from the fix permissions pkg
