hi all, i've been trying to look around the forum since sunday on why my external HDD won't appear on multiman. my HD works fine when i use it on my computer. It's fat32 formatted also. it currently has 4 games in it. i tried GAMES and GAMEZ which is supposed to be at the root of the usb drive. i also doublechecked if there were extra folders after /GAMES/GAMENAME/ part. i also tried refreshing and refreshing. i tried all that i could find on the forums but my hard drive still won't appear on multiman. any ideas? btw, the games are a bit more than 4gb but i don't think that's the real reason on why i can't view my external hdd from the file manager of multiman. help!!

then it's one of two things. Either the drive's not getting enough power if you're using an old enclosure/usb cable or you need to reformat the partition. If you do need to reformat, then backup what you can which shouldn't be a real big deal since you only have a couple games on it, then delete the partition and create a new FAT32 partition using EaseUS's free tool. I've had drives that were formatted right but didn't show up like that and using EaseUS to fix it corrected the problem

i don't think it's the power because the drive has its own power source. i used partition magic when i formatted the drive. i'll just try to reformat it. hope it works! i'll let you know if it works. thanks!

Partition magic is what I use too. Instead of reformatting, delete all partitions on the drive and create a new partition, then format to fat32. I don't know how big your drive is, but PM will let you format the first partition as FAT32 and a second at let's say 50 gigs to NTFS. Then you use usbdeview to get the info for multiman's usb.cfg and put that info in and change the last number from 1 to 2. What that will do will let you use the first partition for videos and games, and the second NTFS drive for transferring those games that aren't fat32 compatible from your external drive to internal drive. You shouldn't need more than 50 gigs if you want to do it that way. I've got mine like that and it's usually more convenient than using FTP for those large files

On Easeus Partition Master try switching your partition's, Logical or Primary.
