Hey guys,
I haven't used my PS3 for ages mostly because my ext. HDD fell down and my BR Drive is dead too. (my PS3 only has 40GB)
So some time ago I removed the broken BR Drive and I could be wrong but I think Multiman didnt work since then anymore. Is it possible that Multiman needs a drive no matter if its f'd up or not? If not, what could be the reason for not starting anymore?
I've already uninstalled Multiman and installed the newest version.
The drive itself isn't required but the logic board is as it's used for authentication regardless of where you're running the game from. If I recall correctly you can't run any EBOOTs at all without a BD logic board connected to the motherboard.Quote:

MultiMAN is an EBOOT so it's subject to the same checks as a game. It looks like you have a 40GB PS3 from the picture, I'm getting mine back off a friend this weekend (don't really feel like opening one of my backwards compatible consoles :p) so if you don't get it working in the mean time I'll post some internal pictures for reference.Quote:

i had the same prob now..i didnt used my ps3 for 2 months now..just now i switched it on but it wont run rogero..then i installed multiman, same thing happened it wont run anything just black screen..i couldnt insert any disc either..the ps3 just wont let it in, im not really sure about this..is it because of my faulty hdmi cable? yeah its a cheap one and everytime i get into multiman or games it would always lose signal for a few sec..but during gameplay its just fine..
p.s. for the first 2 times i switched ps3 on..its only black screen too..just for the 3rd time only im able to get to the menu..so..please help!
