Confirming- Kmeaux's CFW + L2 Patch + MultiMan= working backup (NFSHP)

Hi all,

Went from OFW 3.55 to Kmeaux's CFW in recovery mode. Ran Kmeaux's L2 patch in xmb and installed Multiman and ran it.

It read my external backup of NFS HP with no problems. Ask to load disc from Multiman, just cancel and it will take you back to XMB. Check APP/Home folder in Kmeaux's XMB and you will see the game you are trying to load. Runs perfectly!

FYI: I am on FAT Model-40gig , CHECH... no worries mates!

P.S- haven't played online yet but it appears to be all well for now. no freezes or anything but I will report anything unusual.

Okay, game worked great. No problems...

I quit game and went back to XMB. Went to each area, music, video, etc... just to see if XMB was still working correctly and smoothly.

After about 2 minutes of just going through XMB (not opening or running anything), the system froze on the XMB and I could not reboot or do anything. I had to turn the power off to restart the PS3.

Since, I have the Kmeauw CFW and have not re-patched (L2). I am surfing the XMB and I am having no freezing issues. I am assuming that the freezes are related to the L2 Patcher. I suspect it will happen again, and when it does... I will report it. Any intelligent input into this matter would be appreciated.

Edit*** XMB still perfect, no problems , no freezes on Kmeaw's CFW after 15 more minutes of XMB surfing. I am confident the freeze is related to the LV2 Patcher!

Any others, please test and report if LV2 patcher is freezing you at XMB after gameplay! Thanks!

PL3 has always been like this. We need a hermes v4b lv2 patcher or something like that

why don't I have the APP/home option?

I have a similar problem, I need the "USB Patch" in multiMAN and whenever I try to load it freeze. I have ran the "fix file permissions" and everything went OK but as far as I know i need the USB Patch too. So anyone have a solution?

Game still works like a charm.

LV2 package (which delivers a PL3 payload)causes XMB freezes but goes away after your restart the PS3(duh).

Kmeauw released LV2 - version 2 package. Check news and download the new version. Im trying it out to see if there are any improvements (re- freezing).

Has anyone else got NFS HP working? I have not updated yet (and it keeps asking). I am wondering if it's safe to upgrade or will it cause errors loading the backup? anyone who has tried, let me know... thanks

install it through recovery mode (from ofw 3.55). There is a tutorial at the top of top of this forum (game backups), i'd advise you read it.

Where can i get this?? i haven't seen any other lv2 patcher =/ just the one that came out yesterday..
