Cant get retro game covers working! help please

so pretty much i cant get it to work. i see all my roms fro nes and snes in the retro game menu but i cant see the game covers. i go to dev_hdd0/game/bles80608/usrdir/covers_retro but i dont see anything there. i also go to dev_hdd0/game/fceu/usrdir and i still dont find anything. i already installed the latest emulator package but its a no go. any help would be great

cover have to be manually edit to match the rom and placed into cover directory or the same directory as the rom
