Greets to all, as the tittle states, I have been researching these problems and seem to have not found anyone else with similar problems. First PS3 has KMEAW CFW and mine has the otherOS++ CFW that helps allow QA Flagging. (yes, I am aware I am an moron for attempting to mess with QA. If that is the case, then I accept that a dufus and will return to KMEAW. BTW the otherOS++ is said to not allow backups to play, but it has not givin' me any problems until now... probably my first problem.
#1) My father-in-law's PS3 was recently updated with multiMAN 2.00.03 and he claims that #1 when he is playing any of his backup game now, when he pauses the game and then returns to it, his PS3 will do a soft reboot on him. I would dismiss it as needing to update his multiMAN but here is the strange thing. #2 He runs showtime now instead of the XMB video player but when he goes to pause his movies and returns to them, the movie starts over. My initial thoughts to this issue were that he had a badly encoded movie, but he claims he ran another movie that he had watched all the way through and it starts over when he pauses it. Has anyone at all run into any type of problem like this?
#2) My personal PS3, the multiMAN no longer shows the game backups on it, either the internal HDD nor the USB drive will display. I have checked the actual game backup and all files and directories are still there, i can even still launch said missing games from multiMAN's file manager manually.
Any ideas or theories would be much appreciated. Until then, I'm going back and reinstalling firmware and multiMAN for my system and will do upgrades for my father-in-law's system since he has no internet access.
Thanks in advance for taking time to read this, and please if these problems have already been solved, Moderators just kindly point me to the right post and delete this one here.
Once again, ladies and gentlemen devs, you are all awesome and if not for you all, we would be stuck with a semi-wanna be computer system that tries to play media and has a company dictate to you what you can do at one point, and then play God and decide to take it away from you. If not for you all, we would still be at $ony's mercy. Mad props to you all! Keep it up and I wish I had more money, I would love to donate to this very worthy cause.
And Deank, you're a hero! Thanx for all the hard freakin' work you toil with making this great manager. Words arn't enough to express my gratitude for this phenomenal program!
UPDATE: Now I have tried everyway I know of to restore KMEAW CFW to my PS3 short of the service mode downgrade to 3.41 then to 3.55 OFW then to KMEAW. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Sad thing, haven't had many problems until multiMAN upgrade to 2.0.0.5 but i still swear by it!

I would check a few things. One would be to make sure the hard drive is not going in to sleep mode. This is if these are running on an external. Next I would update to the latest version of multiMAN 2.01.00 and install the latest multiman_showtime.pkg.
You might to try out Rebug cfw 3.55.1 and the update.pkg for it. That is what I use and I have zero issues.
Please always assume I am joking, because I always am. Except for right now..in this sig...I am serious. Seriously!
320gb Xbox 360 RGH
320gb PS3 slim TB w/3TB external
80gb B/C PS3

Thanks for the quick reply, both internal and external, (yeah I unplugged the external, but the internal is brand new 500GB 5400 RPM HDD, heard speed of HDD might also be issues so no prob there.) Yeah, gonna try to update both next time I visit with him. Didn't like Rebug CFW, but will try. Gotta love TRUE backups of saves!
Thanks again for the suggestions, all help/advice appreciated.

UPDATE: My father-in-law's problems basically all went away when I upgraded all of multiman and showtime. My problems went away after downgrading with the service mode trick and going to 3.41 and then back up to 3.55. my saves no longer work, thank goodness for fake signing of owners.
Now the only problem that remains is multiMAN still locks up when going into it a second time. Thought it was due to all the roms being in all of the emulators, but that isnt the case. Seems to do with an overload of videos. I will continue to mess around and post my findings for others to learn from. Thanks for all the help everyone!

try removing each and every file of multiman from your ps3 and installing it again....
just for your more help and saving your time
delete the folder named "BLES80608" in your ps3.....its multiman's folder...and try reinstalling it again.....

Thanx much, yeah attempted this, got rid of most problems but still having freezing problems. Going to attempt tomorrow to disconnect the USB hard drive, but will letcha know how it turns up. Thank you for the replies.
UPDATE: Nope, not due to the external HDD with videos. Got something to do with the ROMs then, but I have moved them and multiMAN still is reading them, must be hard links. So "Refresh" doesn't work. v.v' might have to result in re-deleting multiMAN and re-installing it. Hate doing that for the simple reason that the PS3 starts messing up when you delete things and don't replace them with the same amount of data. I don't care what $ony says about "PS3 doesn't need defragmenting", every hard drive does, and the PS3 is very picky about where it stores data when data has been deleted. Anyways, gonna do a "Resotre File Structure" after deleting MM and see where I am from there.

ok final analysis is that a quick format solved my problems. For those that have the same problem, I'd suggest to do a back up of your PS3 after you move/delete ALL PS3 games that may have been backed up onto the internal PS3 hard drive so that way the backup wont take too much room and do a simple quick format and install multiman when it finishes first then do a restore. I didnt have this option as there were too many games backed up on to the internal HDD for me to go through and delete one at a time.
Thanks for all help and I hope this helps with problems others encounter!
