[Suggestion] Retro Column Organization.
[Suggestion] Retro Column Organization. –

Hi everyone, i'd like to suggest a tweak for the next multiman version.
I think it would be good to have the possibility to have subcategories for the emulators in the Retro section of XMMB. Maybe folders that subdivide roms using their typology. Something like this:
Retro
|
Genp -> Genp roms list
|
SnesX -> Snesx roms list
|
FCEU ...etc.
|
VGBA ...etc.
And maybe the possibility to rename those folder as we wish.
This could improve organization for those who have vast romsets.
I thank you if you like my suggestion and support it.

That is exactly how i have them organized on my PC but also with covers, i have them sort of like this:
Retro
|
Genp|-> Genp roms/
.......|-> Genp covers/
|
SnesX|-> SnesX roms/
........|-> SnesX covers/
|
FCEU|-> FCEU roms/
.......|-> FCEU covers/
|
VGBA|-> VGBA roms/
.......|-> VGBA covers/
EDITED: i guess you where talking about the multiman columm and i was thinking on the retro tools

I don't have problems with covers, since they are ok as they are now. I don't have problems with that using MM's File Manager.
The only problematic thing is when you look for a specific game in the retro column, and when there's a large number of roms you take some time to find the game you want. ( since the scrolling has its timing. ) . So a category organization should help everyone keeping their collection steady ordinated and with a fast access to specific games, even in huge lists.
If someone likes a big list or simply has not so many roms, maybe a switch in the options to activate/deactivate the feature?
EDITED: Yes, i was talking about the multiman's column. This message was mostly aimed to Deank, even if suggestions from everyone are welcome.

This was answered weeks ago, and yes, it will be implemented in the future.
Just wait for it, this is a topic I know has been covered over and over again, lets not further push it.

Yep, he has said he is working on it and that it's not a simple implementation so we just have to be patient.
