[HELP] Multiman "downgrade" to be able to install new BASE

Hello PSX-Scene,

i did a silly mistake. I had a very old version of Multiman (i think it was 2.x) running on my PS3 (FAT) 3.41 (with Dongle). So i wanted to update to 4.19.1 and i installed 4.19.1 UPD first .. and 4.18 BASE now says "newer version already exisits" and if i want to start Multiman it says: installation is not complete.

How to force installation of "older" version of PKG? Or is there a way to downgrade multiman on PS3 HDD? Or do i have to wait until Multiman 4.20 BASE is released?

I know i can uninstall complete Multiman.. but then i will lose all my local games and splitted backupfiles.

install 4.19 and then update it to 4.19.1

Thanks for fast reply and your suggestion. Unfortunately there is no 4.19 Full installer..and i am afraid that this also will not install because i already installed 4.19.01 UPD... so every older version skips installation...

just install 4.19 and see if its gunna install it or not .or use 4.14.00 its a full version

actually he'll need to install 4.18.00 (the latest base version)

bitsbubba: i already tried to install 4.18.00 BASE and get error 'newer version already installed' - thats the catch-22 8)

how long does it usual take to get a new BASE version of Multiman?fe 4.20 BASE? This would help me a lot

i checked the release dates of multiman and as far as i could see they are very fast with new releases

Or does anybody know how to replace param . sfo of Multiman on PS3 HDD? I think i can get FTP access. but whats the internal path of multiman?And will it help to replace or update the param . sfo?

delete multiMAN through the XMB and then install 4.18.00 base then either update through multiMAN or with the 4.19.01 update pkg

Hi bitsbubba, thats the point. If i delete from XMB it will delete all my local stuff

splitted files, backups on internal HDD, settings etc... (it says size of 38 GB) .. does anyone know what folder is used by multiman on internal HDD?
