I'm not too fond of the giant enemy crab spying on me, and I wanted the official privacy patch applied again after the 0.1 update had been done. I created a modified PUP with both the official Update 0.1 and official Rebug Privacy patch applied, and created a DIFF patch for the public attached here.
I've done my best to make the patch look as "official" as possible, and hope the team won't object. It's a PATCH only, and requires the original Rebug 3.55.1 PUP file. NO other changes have been made, and the patch has been tested successfully on two PS3's, one phat/one slim, without issue. I've made note in several places to NOT mirror the output file anywhere, and to always get the original source from the rebug.me website.
Please feel free to repost this RAR file anywhere you like, but respect the wishes of the Rebug Team! <3 <3
As suggested to me; the newly patched REBUG_355.1_PS3UPDAT.PUP should have a MD5 of:
7ED26897FA53D1925D385EB188A56D47
Also remember to use the Rebug selector to switch back to normal mode before installing, otherwise the version spoof will prevent 3.55 from being reinstalled.

I've also seen a few websites repost this as some sort of PSN hack, which is insane. It's exactly the opposite! The privacy patch scans and edits all the PS3's system files looking for any reference to a Sony and/or affiliate domain, and replaces it with "aaaaaaaaaaa", leaving the extension intact. The list of blocked domains:
Example: qriocity.com becomes aaaaaaaaaaa.com in the system files.
With this patch applied you cannot connect to PSN, do a system update via Internet, receive any game patches directly from starting a game, and most importantly, get all your personal user data sent to Sony.
The PS3 phones home *ALL* the time. Every last program you run is stored in a log called the "pushlist" (google it), and regularly uploaded to Sony's servers. Every website your visit, every change you make...your entire play history is sent to Sony on regular intervals. Even while your PS3 is sitting idle, it's phoning home. This has been covered numerous times before.

As an awesome bonus, Multiman's game update feature does not go through the firmware system files, and will still download game update packages just fine with this installed. This for me, is ideal.
To check if the patch is working, try clicking Online Instruction Manuals, and take a look at the url at the top. It should read: "http://manuals.aaaaaaaaaaa.net"
Trying to login to PSN, check for updates via internet or anything else that tries to connect to Sony's servers will popup with a DNS error.
Hopefully this will curb the questions anyone was having.
I had Rebug with privacy patch applied then used the update and could no longer install PKG files. I went and used this version and now I have everything working again so thanks to you as it was pulling my hair out. It would work just fine with Rebug 3.55.1 with just the privacy patch applied but everytime I would use the update I would get error's installing PKG files so thanks for this as it works better for me the "official" Rebug firmwares and updates.
Whenever i come across unofficial releases i tend to stay away, its what people should do, this doesn't seem to be harmfull, but those spoofs LOLOL they rsod rebugged machines, and the last advanced mode yeah, it was useless and also rsod rebugged machines -.- i would say keep using what Team rebug has to offer.
This third party ReBug is still working just fine for me, blocks all calls home to Sony and has the latest update and best of all my PKG installer isn't broken like when I try to update my ReBug with the privacy patch installed.
