Holy fish sticks batman! So now what? Even if we just went on there once, are our consoles gonna be sol soon? What if we already created an account?
I guess what I'm trying to ask here is, if someone has already gotten onto sp-int, with a newly created account just for this purpose, even if they never go on sp-int again, would they or could they be subject to any legal prosecution?
lol you logged huh ?

Ok, online games and CFW shouldn't be mixed fine, but theres DLC content haven't any of you played mass effect 2 and seen how much content you miss without DLC?
Most of us just want to access the store and to say that isn't fair is very, sorry to say, stupid.
Don't allow games and cfw fine but more people should be looking for a way to access the store and not saying "DUR DUR DUR NO CFW AND PSN EVER THEY SHOULDN'T MIX" there are perfectly good legitimate reasons for people with cfw to be able to access the store and BUY content with our money LEGALLY.
To the more pertinent subject at hand, getting on the developer network is silly, stop it.
oh yea....Math, baby cakes, you're so cute you wanna go out and get some lobster with me later?

Does anyone know if the Sony PSN terms of service changed today like they said it would?
From what I read if you decline the new terms of service your account gets disabled...does it also go along like if you don't log in to the new network for an extended period of time and don't agree to the new TOS my account will get disabled too?
If that's the case I'm going to have to go to my brothers and sign into PSN, I mean I might not be able to use it now but I don't want to lose my saves/trophies if I ever buy a second ps3 or we find a way to log in later.
Anyone who has a second ps3 and knows what's going on with that I'd appreciate some help.
EDIT: Nevermind I figured it out, you can accept the new terms of service from their website if you log in from there...This should maybe be on the front page.
Also, I copied the new terms and saved them in a text file...I uploaded them here for anyone that's interested in taking a look at them

If you want to get to the store, you can purchase a legit unmodified ps3 and get on it.
Considering how insecure Sony's network actually is, I am surprised it hadn't become a living hell while people with cfw could sign in (probably because they never figured the extend of what could really be done). I am glad Sony has finally made a (more or less effective) move to prevent "unwanted" people from signing in.
If you want to get online, host your own network (Takes a fair bit of reverse engineering) and accept whomever you want on it.
well I logged into the PS3 web-site and it says there was a new agreement which I agree to and the it logged me in. Have no idea if you have to accept a new agreement on your ps3 as it asked me to update when I tried to log in a few hours ago for the first time in months.
Ok, Ok that's fine I accept that and you're right.

Then lets find a way to get DLC content without the store its either connect to psn to access the content or do that.
I'm sure you're possibly already aware of some way to possibly do that, if you're so against us getting on psn why don't you share.
The .pkg files for dlc content are freely available everywhere its making use of them without activation that's the problem.
Your alternative of hosting my own network also doesn't cure the problem of getting DLC content which is the only reason I'd want to get on psn anyway so you've basically completely ignored the whole point of the post...the second reason I would want psn is to update trophies which would also be pointless with my own network.
Btw, I'm being sarcastic I know you with your particular ideology would never release a way to access content for free even though we can access it legally if we wanted to.
You never responded to my offer of lobster either, what's wrong...you don't like crustaceans?

Is there a way to patch this firmware for privacy but still allow downloading of just game updates via the console? I can block the domains in my router but if there's a way to still allow game updates to download, that'd be cool. I haven't done enough research on what domains are used for what to tell.
Alternatively... Is there an easy way to download updates via my PC? I've seen a few apps floating around but they don't seem to check for updates to all games. Does anyone know of one that I can just put in the ID of the game and have it check for updates? To add on to that - is there a way to check for updates to games from other regions (i.e. Tales of Vesperia JPN)?
