Do not waste your time looking for another fix because there isn't one!
IF you used the update and found out your still stuck in the same mode (normal) or otherwise your hard drive has corrupted sectors on it and the only fix is what I posted:
    http://psx-scene.com/forums/835249-post62.html (RELEASE - Rebug Update Package 0.1)

Its not hard to just backup all your stuff and backup the xreg/act.dat and just pull the drive and pop everything.
i already have everything backed up, but last time i had to restore the drive without PSN access i had to constantly upload my act.dat to the machine. everytime i turned it off it would get erased.

That is what xReg Plus is for..

I believe I already told you why it isn't working properly.. It is because you have installed either the 3.61 spoof or the Advanced Mode patch..

Either way you have to re-install Rebug 3.55.1 in Recovery Mode, then install Rebug Update Package 0.1..

Do this before you reformat your HDD.

just reading on rebug.me it says that xreg plus only works for the user account that is in in 00000001 location, my issue is that my 1st user account on my machine is in location 00000003, and the others are in 00000005, and 00000008.

i'm guessing that means xreg plus won't work for me

At the moment no.. I will be updating this soon (over the next couple of weeks)..

Again.. Please try re-installing Rebug first before you try anything else..

If you use Service Mode it will kill your info.. Recovery Mode will not.

    OR

Download and run the UNINSTALL option of Rebug 3.60 Spoofer

This should set your version back to 3.55

Then reinstall Rebug.. You should be able to do it through the XMB now.

that worked to allow me to re-install rebug 3.55.1, but the system only shows 3.55 after i install the 0.1 update, and the selector does not work
