RELEASE - Rebug Update Package 0.1

If I were to backup my hdd reformat n then restore would that be ok, or would I be restoring corrupted stuff?

I've got a clean rebug installed and the cex dex. Can't get to rebug mode. Pressing L1+x says normal mode activated and the mode never changes. Also r2+x says menu 1 enabled. Neither of those options will change therefore no spoof. What am I doin wrong?

How do you intend to backup your HDD?.. If you use the PS3 backup Utility then more than likely.. If you are using FTP or a filemanager then probably not

How familar are you with backing up your xRegistry.sys and activation data etc..

But my situation:

Like the most people,I had installed the kmeaw 3.55cfw with rebug spoof 3.60
Using multiman mayhem,works great till games came out like sniper,virtua tennis 4,kung fu panda 2......

So justt downloaded

this rebug 3.65 spoofer 2.0
and also the update package 0.1

First I uninstalled the 3.60 spoofer
So I saw in systemsettings 3.55
after that
I installed rebug 3.65 spoofer.pkg,I opened the application and everything was going fine.
In systemsettings I Saw 3.65.
After that I installed the update package 0.1 pkg and opened it ,so a reboot was made.

Now I checked the version in systemsettings,3.65 ok.
but Now I cant still play the games,that needs a higher fw higher than 3.60?

Did I do anything wrong?

I think there will be more and more users in my position the next days.
So one good description will avoid a lot of questions.

Btw If this works,It is a damn nice job you did!

Reinstall Rebug 3.55.1 and Rebug Selector 1.2 for now..

Send me a PM with what ever details you can give me about your setup.. like what other apps you have installed, PS3 model, what you were doing on the PS3 prior to running the pkg etc..

The same goes for anyone else that runs into the issue of Rebug Selector not responding after installing Rebug Update Package 0.1.

There has to be something in common.. So don't panic, pm me with what you can and I will go through it as soon as I get up..

I am very tired at the moment it is 8:25am here, I'm clocking over the 24hr mark and coffee won't cut it..

This is to stop the PS3 from being Updated..

Your games would still need to be patched to work on a lower firmware than they are meant to

the spoofer is ONLY TO PREVENT ACCIDENTAL UPDATES, no PSN & no playing of games 3.60+ (w/o game patches)

pull out your internet cable

or

dont be a fool to update accidently

When we mentioned we were releasing this we made it quite clear what it could and couldn't do and what it's purpose was for.. We haven't misled anyone into believing it can do anymore than it does.

Pulling your internet cable out is not a good enough solution for people that use their PS3 as their only internet access.
