yes there is if you follow the instructions on the wiki, you use dtbImage.ps3.bin.minimal instead and follow those directions.
no clear support yet for 256MB NAND consoles....
I am going to get my ps3 from my bro's later today or after the holiday and i am going to install otherOS++ and try to make an easier to understand tut, and clear up what stays and goes. as well as how to play the backups, as iman89dk said he was having problems. I just need a little time

Reason: didnt have quote
so this doesn't work on 256 nand fat ps3?
What happens if you try to install it anyway?
or is it only the otherOS option that fails to work?
Go back and read, man. Everything is there, EVEN how to install if you have a 256MB NAND.

Ran create_hdd.sh from my flash drive associated with /tmp /petitboot/mnt/sda1/ and it gave me an extreme amount of output but the guide says to just reboot to petitboot so I did and needless to say there was no /dev/ps3dd drive created. Is there a custom console command I need to enter to make it see the 22GB that Rebug firmware made available?
I have the same problem here, when I run Multiman or showtime for example (last version of two) my ps3 restarts and gives me some screen saying that the system wasn't shut down correctly and demands that i connect the controller with a usb cable. Any idea or solution ? This v2 of rebug have many errors I do not recomend install right now.
did you turn debug mode on? also did you install selector 1.2 or 1.5?

Unfortunately when I inserted the formatted drive back into the console it asked for 3.41 or later and I pointed it to the REBUG firmware 3.41.3 and it started to load and told me no applicable data found. I wouldn't normally be worried but there is this small thing about it tell me the original 3.41 data isn't applicable that I downloaded from ps3hax.net which I think I read correctly when it said it had the updated fix. Now I have no desire to move up to 3.55 for any reason. I prefer 3.41 but if it is completely necessary I will do it. Is my only option to go up in firmware or is there another avenue of success I can take since I cannot get it to boot with this HDD formatted the way it is?
No I do not turn on debug mode and also no install the selector. If I turn on debug mode and install the selector the problem disapears ? And if this is correct how I install the selector and turn on the debug ?
the selector will be in the package manager/hdd and to turn on debug you will use the selector if im not mistaken...it has been a while and i will be installing this and otherOS in 3-4 hours and documenting all of it for evilsperm and so i can make a guide for someone wanting clearer instructions for the oos++ part
