Need ReBug OtherOS++ GONE

Help I can't get into recovery mode to reinstall plain old rebug anymore. I tried the OtherOS++ version out only to find out 90% of the games I own no longer work with this error

I keep getting tossed into petiboot instead of the recovery menu and my damn keyboard doesn't work so I am stuck. Someone please help me.

So what FW are you on before this happened? 3.55 OtherOS++? If so simply format your HDD via recovery menu, or format via your PC and then reinstall 3.55 OFW then whatever firmware you wanna go to next. That will remove any traces of petitboot.

or just use the boot game os tool then recover and go back to original rebug.

Yes Rebug 3.55.1 w/ OtherOS++ and I can't get to recovery and I can't do jack with Petiboot as it hangs on the screen as it can't see my bluetooth keyboard. I am going to have to format my HDD via PC then as I don't see anything else to do, this sucks as I don't want to refill my 640gb HDD but with most of my games not working only older non-trophy games seem to work anymore. Linux isn't worth compatibility it gives at this moment and with my keyboard not working I can't even use Linux.

That still won't delete the vflash regions.

Yea your best bet is to reformat your HDD via the PS3.

here's what you do.

Stick the HDD in the PC via a SATA cable. A docking station is also acceptable. After that go into disc manager or whatever and format it as a simple exfat or NTFS. Basically whatever you can format it as. When you stick it back into the PS3 it will auto format it and ask you to reinstall the firmware.

If when you try to enter recovery by holding the button and you get petitboot just use the boot game os tool not sure if you need the reboot to but i use it anyway then shut down and try to enter recovery again , and then number 5

Make your life easy and pull the drive out and stick it in a pc and delete the partitions, then format it. After that you will need to reinstall your firmware. This is a known thing with petitboot (it writes to the mbr). I had to do the same thing myself 3 days ago. I know the issue hes talking about where petitboot locks the system and you cant do jack shit and it sux!

I didn't have to format to fix this issue. You just power up the PS3 normally, power down, then hold the power button so it powers on then off. Then let go. Then enter recovery normally (hold till off, hold till 2 beeps), and recover with rebug. If that doesn't work, tell me.

Hey, I'm having the same issue but I'm trying what you say and I can't get into Recovery mode. It sounds like it's booted up and the fans start whirring etc. but no video is displayed! Do you know what's happening?

Nevermind - I'm wondering now if it's that it was too hot earlier. I had it off for an hour or so, tried again and managed to get to the service menu! Very odd. Back to Rebug 3.55.1 and am going to research a bit better into 3.55.2 before giving it another shot.
