Major Breakthroughs with Rebug

Ok, I'll ask this in the naive hope that I don't get flamed for it :P In the vid you demonstrate quick-signup working and connecting to PSN. Does PSN/store access work under ReBug and 3.41? Or was that just developer/test stuff and won't connect to the actual PSN?

I'm not interested in playing games online, but I'm EXTREMELY interested in any method that allows me the opportunity to redownload my purchases, reactivate older ones and, even better, BUY NEW ONES! :D

Oh and also looking forward to finding out about PS1/PS2 backups. I don't care about having to keep using the JB dongle, that's a minuscule price to pay IMO :D

I'd like to buy dlcs i didn't purchase last time :-/

yeah and if its not then would it be possible to use netflix?
what about the other dud that posted on here that he already has some debug options and his idea about psn store ,he said something about some tv app ,so what exactly can you do with psn with this?

It is a real connection to PSN.. It does not allow access to the PSN store or play online yet.. Evilsperm and myself were able to use the chat though..

I'll be releasing 'Rebug - 3.41E beta' very soon.. The 'E' is for 'Enhanced'.. I don't like to call it a custom firmware..

Rebug beta WILL NOT have the 'PSN Quick Signup' enabled.

The only thing it does at the moment is connect and enable chat and console activation (Console activation is useless without access to PSN content).. It would be a waste for the feature to be shot down before it was actually useful to anyone by everyone creating and signing in and out of Quick Signup and getting noticed..

Oh well. Thanks any way, mate, and of course I understand the need to keep PSN Quick Signup disabled for the beta .. I was thinking about that very same thing as soon as I saw your vid; Sony are going to be going nuts if they suddenly see a thousand signups to their debug network :lol: Hopefully one day we can get PSN Store access back, either via ReBug or something courtesy of the fail0verflow team <3

Don't worry.. We are not holding back..

As soon as we have full access to PSN so will everyone else.. It would just be plain dumb to release that feature now like it is..

We got our foot in the door and that is a start.. :D

Absolutely, this is what I am very interested in as well...have too many PS1/PS2 games that I love to play but hesitate at times due to the laser being used a lot whilst playing...would be awesome to play these as backups regardless of needing to jailbreak or not.

Oh and to Evilsperm and Cyberskunk: well done guys, you two are absolutely awesome and it's great that we have you two working on something like this within what has shown to be a fantastic dev scene on the PS3.

Hey Cyberskunk, those fake Fail0verflow guys have stolen your video and are trying to get 10 euros + 3 euros as a "shipping and handling" fee for THEM making the hack YouTube - fail0verflow - Debug hack! theres the link, try to bitch at google to take it down, or even better, freeze that damn paypal account, me and a few guys on this other thread are trying to take down those fake Fail0verflow guys. If you could help, that would be great ;)
