Still would it not be better advice to tell people that if they are going to use it to ONLY use it on the saves that need it and turn it off after every use? I'm not hating on the OP but the feature isn't as dangerous as he claims if used properly.
Also, whats with "the scene"'s obsession on cfw of the day I mean just install kmeaw and leave it alone. You can have otheros++ with kmeaw (diffrent from regular kmeaw) but your going to know before you install if you want linux so install it once and leave it alone.
"Enable, play the game, disable when not playing" would work yes, but how many people are going to do that? I'd rather err on the side of caution. As for why I turned it off; I don't like relying on a feature that won't be available forever. What if I decided to update to OFW? Sorry, saves are all gone. What if a new CFW comes out? Sorry, saves are all gone.
I respect your err to caution which is why I don't use rebug but everyone needs to make their own decisions and turn on use turn off is good advice for some.
To be fair, pip13 had a point. It does WORK, but it shouldn't be left enabled, so I updated the first post with a bit of clarification.
if you go to ofw yah its a issue but I don't think team rebug is done making firmware so if cfw 3.65 comes out (not counting on it and only installable from 3.55 or lower) team rebug will probibly have somthing too. With debug 3.60 out there team rebug could be the ones to release higher than 3.55 no one really knows.
Again no disrespect but those files are only gone 1. because you did not research an option a retail ps3 does not include before blindly using and 2. because you deleted them. Obviously someone else had this problem and found a fix for some games, a homebrew app may get developed to adress this issue you never know what's being worked on in silence.
never happend to me... FSO is always enabled since first day I installed it (maybe its been 3months since I started using it and none of them were corrupted)
and yeah.. I just remembered it, my friend got the same problem where all of his save files went corrupted one by one, though he's not using a REBUG CFW.. it was just a plain doongle.
Debug Settings: MENU 2 (DEX) | Codename: REBUG
Allows use of save data from other users and displays a warning message at every load/save during the game.
Once a save data has been saved with this features activated, that save couldn’t be read with this function deactivated.:chinscrat
oh sorry... it seems that the "corrupt" you were talking about is that the save of yours are not working because youre no longer the owner of the save file. I thought that the save files of yours went corrupted (totally unuse-able) that cant be load anymore.
No offense, but seriously, who cares.... its not like you can pass those save files to other people right? there's even no difference between being the owner of the save file or not.
feel free to correct it if there's a difference being the owner or not.
