Do not use MFW on Rebug to change the button layout.. It has an option to do it in the Debug Settings menu..

it tells me the latest version of the software is already installed no need to update
guess i will need to do it via the restore menu, cant be arsed tonight lol doesnt seem that much difference between rebug and kmeaw (for the average user like me) but thnx for the help guys

What if your using waninkoko v1 cfw would it be safe to update to rebug or restore to ofw 1st? I ask cause noone seems to be asking about his cfw and thats the one i use.

it is recommended to use OFW 1st (for safety) but not required as stated on their site. From Recovery (best bet) install OFW then restart in recovery again and install REBUG

I agree for safety , But I just update from geo to rebug from xmb update, Yeah rebug doesn't need mfw it has region settings
