Is there an option or a pkg file to re-enable 3rd party controllers?
I am a pikey i know but i liked using my PS2 Pads with a USB adapter to play Games. And now [im told due to 3.50]they dont work.
Any ideas??

Would be nice.
I have a DualShock3 copy that got knocked out by a FW update (OFW 3.0). PS button works, but all else is dead.

I have a dualshock3 copy and 2 pc-only generic old controllers and they all work!!
I though the FW that disabled 3rd party ones was a myth! I'm on 3.55 Kmeaw and every control I try it works...
It's the CECHZC2U model.
Hit alot of people. I haven't tried it on CFW though. I'll have to charge it up and give it a try.
EDIT
Nope, still not working (on KMEAW3.55). Will power up the ps3, but won't pair up. Even via USB, it still won't pair.

I think there is a difference between 3rd party controllers (which are generic dualshock 3/sixaxis with ps button and bluetooth) and generic usb controllers (among these are ps2 adapters). If this is true, maybe someone can clarify which one works in 3.55.
sony only killed 3rd party controller from connecting via bluetooth but via usb all controllers working just fine including ps2 adapters & pc usb gamepads
personallyi have tested ps2 adapters & pc usb gamepads
(the pc gamepads must be a plug & play one . if the gamepads require a drive installation on pc that mean it will not work on ps3 whatever the frimware is)

I have a USB PS2 controller to PS3 connector thats just not working anymore.
I think that blows the whole USB connection theory :/
LOL
ONLY STANDARD USB HID (Human Interface Device) Joysticks and PADs work with the PS3. As another poster noted out, ANYTHING that REQUIRES custom drivers WILL NOT WORK, including XBOX360 CONTOLLERS. (AFAIK XBOX360 controllers ARE NOT STANDARD HID DEVICES but CUSTOM ones...)
Also, it's worth mention that anything that actually *pretends/fakes* to be a legitimate DUALSHOCK or SIXAXIS controller will be refused connection over both USB and BT for any PS3 FW of a version higher than 3.50.
