Early today, a new member calling himself TeamICE posted a file, and couple of screenshots, and a legit looking readme with details on how to get PSP games running on the PS3.

Sadly, to say before I had a chance to lock this thread: PSP Emulator ([Release] PSP Emulator)

A few people had already bricked their PS3 consoles.

Hopefully our PS3 Guru's can help them out, and come up with a working solution to get them back into playing games on your PS3.

This horrible person had also posted the same crap on other PS3 forums, including PS3HAX, which have also posted this warning!

If you see anyone posting this again, or trying to pass it around please use the "report user" option here on the forums.

if someone would have taken the time to just try and make a package installer for this would have found out that it isnt even a sony npdrm self file.

means wouldnt have run any way as only unsigned and signed sony npdrm self files made with the sdk or toolchain even though it closely resembles it

from just looking at the hex comparison between the eboot.bin of the backup and the psp emulator

there shouldnt be that many differences between the first few lines in the file
all the eboot.bins from the ftp server/snex emu. have a few differneces in the first few bytes but not this many

the main differnces only come once the elf file is called

heres a pic of what i mean

Can you describe the procedure you follow, so other "victims" can understand what they need to do ?
