VBA vs Mednafen –
07-28-2011,10:58 PM
I've got a PS3 Slim w/ ofw 3.40 that I will hopefully jailbreak pretty soon.
I'm familiar with VisualBoy Advance from using it on my computer and have gathered numerous saves with it.
Although I don't have any immediate use for the other systems it emulates, I'm quite intrigued my Mednafen.
On my PS3, does VBA have anything going for it against Mednafen? Will the later accept my VBA saves? Does the former have any better accuracy or performance in its emulation? Would there happen to be an option I've overlooked?
Thank you in advanced for your time and help.

only thing i use mednafen for is PC engine and sega master system. For GBA games stick with VBA next, same with other dedicated emulators. Better performance/accuracy. I don't use the dedicated PCengine emulator cause it doesn't work, and it's never updated. And no, you can't use saves from one on another.

I figured that one could as Mednafen seems to use VBA code for emulating GBA games (mednafen(dot)sourceforge(dot)net/documentation/#intro). In my experience thus far, they both seem to produce saves with a .sav extension.
