VBA BIOS?

I have gotten me hands on the GBA BIOS....Curious how using this in my VBA will affect anything. I see the option to add the BIOS in the settings menu, but I'm not sure what format it has to be in for the EMU to recognize it...It seems to work really well without it. So I kinda want to know what this will add.

Any input would be appreciated guys.

Well I will take a guess that like PC emulation some games give a callback to bios for VBA and must have it in order to run at all

But that is only a guess like shinning soul and shinning soul 2 do on PC
