is there a wii emulater running around??

i heard somewhere that there was a wii emulater or was in the making maybe, is this true? i personally dont think there is one but figured id ask to see if there was any truth behind it.

There was something posted way back when aout a GC/Wii Emu that was going to be made for the PS3 but there was never anything updated on it or on the Code.Google page. Personally think it was just something for attention.

Yea, I remember MONTHS ago that there was one in development, but after that no one ever heard from them again, like the N64 emu.....

I wonder if PS3 even is capable enough to handle something like a wii emu.

I think the only way for that to happen is that they found a way to use the grapichs chip for other purposes, RSX chip I think it is called... They haven't been able to do that...

Well there's the Dolphin Wii emulator which works for Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. Hopefully someone can port it to PS3.

I think the main problem with porting a Wii emulator to the PS3 is going to be the memory. I remember talking with RoboHobo a while back when he put out the MAME emulator, and one of the problems he was having was the PS3 didn't have but so much memory that it would allow for certain games to run in MAME. This is probably why a lot of the smaller games like pacman and donkey kong would run fine but the larger file games wouldn't.

No there will never be a Wii emulator. The PS3 emulator scene is dead, nobody even cared about putting decent emulators on the PS3. Even the Dreamcast and original Xbox 1 had a better emulator scene than PS3. We dont even have a decent mediaplayer or XBMC, people only cared about playing Call of Duty for free
