    The Source Code
Supermodel is open source and is provided under the terms of the GNU General Public License. It uses SDL, GLEW, and zlib, and is known to compile on Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X (Intel only). Although written entirely in C++, it will work only on little endian machines.

    File Description
Supermodel_0.1.2a_Src.zip Supermodel Version 0.1.2a source code (use this rather than 0.1a).
Supermodel_0.1a_Src.zip Supermodel Version 0.1a source code.
Fragment_NoSpotlight.glsl Fragment shader with spotlight removed. Improves compatibility with some older GPUs. Read this.

Needs to be compilable w/ PPC code, as that's what the PS3 uses. Intel code doesn't help anyone in this instance.

Nope, as the version of Linux that's run on the PS3 is PPC also. It's a completely different arch type to program for. Memory addresses, etc. are all different.

We wouldn't need so many if we finally got a MAME port, lol. Model 3 actually has some pretty damned good games, so I wouldn't mind a (full speed!) M3 emulator. Still, it's early days yet =)

Agreed: one arcade emulator to rule them all.

Could be mistaken but I thought PS3 was big endian.

thats the main problem and with emulators can be a real pain because alot of the opcodes will use endian specific functions and operators to emulate. Also the graphics of model3 emulation would be a bitch to port to the ps3.
