    does it work ? if no then why? (im noob)

    so freedo and sega genesis on windows can linux run it by wine or any windows program for linux?

    I've never used Linux on PS3 but I do use it on PC (Ubuntu 11.04)

    Try using Virtualbox, with Windows XP. That's what I use. I can't guarantee it works on PS3, though.

    Have you tried them in Wine yet? But if that doesn't work you can use a VM, but it might run too slow do to lack of specs going towards the VM. You can see if they have a linux counterpart emulator. OR just compile the code for linux.

    My experience is that the most things don't work (properly) with Wine. a VM is the best solution, but I guess you're right about the specs. that's the reason I recommend using XP instead of Vista/7.
